Most of the Bethlehem Brew Works beer are pretty good. This beer is also pretty good but it's still just a decent Hefeweizen to me. The cloudy yellow body looks good with the big foamy white head makes this beer appealing for the style. The aromas are fresh and clean. Some soft grains on the nose a little bit of banana. The flavors are soft and very mellow. It's got a decent hefe flavor with the grains being the focal point. This beer may have been a little better if there was some fruit in it.

On tap at the BBW Brew Pub and listed as just 'Hefeweizen'.
Poured a medium to deeper and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Served in a .5L Hefe glass with a slice of lemon. Aromas of lemons, bananas, cloves, 'sweaty' wheat and a trace of bubble gum. Tastes of citrus, lighter bananas, and lighter cloves. Thirst quenching on this hot day.

A: Poured a cloudy pale gold with a 1 finger fluffy white head.
S: a touch of fruitiness, some citrus and lemon hopping and a nice wheaty aroma.
T: For flavor there was a light yeastiness, banana bread with a light citrus bittering. There was also a light underlying fruitiness (mangos, fresh oranges) providing a spicy and crisp fruity finish.
M: light, a little creamy with fresh citrus.
D: Good drinkability, moderately enjoyable and a crisp hefe for the summer time drinking.

Definitely a winner and maybe BBW's best beer currently on tap.The aroma is bready with a sour note matched with citrus. The taste is wonderfully complex with banana, spice, and inner-orange skin. It's also a little creamy and with the orange reminds me of a fresh Franziskaner. Heck of a beer.

I have to admit it, I am not the biggest fan of the hefeweisse biers, but this was quite good. Without the lemon, of course. This brew is very unfiltered and cloudy. Very attractive. The first sip is highly stimulating and earthy on the palate...alot of wheat and malt in this one. An excellent beer only available at the Bethlehem Brew Works. Prost!
