Good aroma - all the barrel aged goodness you’d expect, with the requisite fall spices. Where this beer falls down for me is the tangy qualities in the taste and mouthfeel... it was juicy, with a fruity tartness that is just not what I would expect from an imperial pumpkin ale. Maybe I got a bad batch.

Bottle to tulip glass.
AROMA: pumpkin and spice with some woodyness and light whiskey.
LOOK: Cloudy Orange color.
TASTE: pumpkin, wine, brandy, SOAP! (oh no). Weird soapy or chemical type flavors really detract from the base pumpkin beer which is one of my favorite of the style. Too bad.
FEEL: Medium Bodied. a touch slimy. Decent carbonation. Barrel aging has a weird effect on the mouthfeel as well.
Disappointed, but that being said I haven't found a BA Pumpkin beer that I found better than it's base beer yet. Save those barrels for the stouts.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into pint glass in November 2016. I did not see any brewed on or drink by dates on the bottle.
Appearance: Deep amber color with thick light tan head. Beer is thick and a little hazy. Head is thicker than average, with nice lacing on the glass.
Smell: Strong pumpkin and caramel aromas, also pepper and other spices. Interesting variety and balance.
Taste: Pumpkin and spice flavors dominate. There is a little bitterness from the hops and some caramel and bourbon flavor from the barrel aging. There is a strong alcohol bite as well. This was done in a nice combination with the other flavors. There is a nice variety of flavors in the aftertaste too.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Strong alcohol level, which confirms the 9.0% on the bottle.
This is a very smooth and creamy pumpkin ale. It is an interesting combination of flavors, especially with the pumpkin, spice, caramel, and a little bitterness from the hops. I would buy this again.

Pours a dark copper with less than a finger of head. There is some bourbon in the nose but there is also a mild smokiness that seems out of place. Bourbon notes stand out in the flavor profile and they merge nicely with the vanilla already present. However, there is not much pumpkin flavor in this offering and it seems surprisingly thin.

A - Pours a dark burgundy raison color with a thin, toffee colored head and very minor carbonation.
S - Bourbon, maple, molasses, oak - very thick aroma.
T - "Punkins", bourbon, oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, some vanilla does rise up at the very end but ever so slightly.
M - Heavy medium body, and some alcohol warming on the way down and turn the mouth a little bit into cotton.
O - I hate to say it, but this beer is a boozy mess. :o(
