Poured from 750 mL bottle into cervoise.
A: Pours a slightly hazy orange hue with almost no head.
S: Tart citrus, sour melon, funk, oak, and white pepper.
T: Super tart...more than sour. Grapefruit, melon, oak, and some earthy/funky spice. A bit of an odd mix.
M: Light body. Oily feel. Very tart and moderately sour. The oak component here seems not well used...perhaps better without it.
D: An interesting idea, but didn’t quite come out in the end result. I’m usually impressed with O’so, but not this time.

Poured from a 750 mL into a tulip

Pours a honey-gold with not much head or lacing, but a fair amount of constant fizz.

Brett is very forward on the nose, along with peach, apricot, pineapple, and citrus. Grassy hop notes in the background.

The flavor follows the nose, with a near-vinegar sourness, mixed with white stone fruit, citrus, and funky brett, along with some barrel flavor.

The mouthfeel is a bit "off." Rather slick, instead of crisp and dry.

Overall, an interesting wild ale--but not sure I would repeat it.

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml corked and caged bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

A nice pour. Orange-goldenrod and clear. Nose is Brett, apricot, overripe peaches and the faintest hint of vinegar and acetone. Beer opens exceedingly sour balanced out almost immediately by a stonefruit sweetness. As my palate gets used to the assault, I get hints of acetone, vinegar, peach and apricot pit mixed with a foamy funk. This one is hair-raisingly tart throughout. End is more apricot and a puckering, vinegar tartness. Beer is light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and foamy on the palate and goes down accented with a lingering, filmy tartness. Easy to drink at least.

I don't quite understand this beer. There's a decent fruit aspect to it even though I'm not sure its fruited. However, its so sour that I'm not sure it's not sour just for the sake of being sour. It's hard to detect any sort of character or complexity because the flavor is just so intense. Worth trying but I'm not sure I'd revisit it.

Poured cloudy but cleared to a nice yellowish gold with a few bubbles. I don’t get any of the citra dry hop, just a strong sour smell. Similarly the taste seems typical of a sour without much influence from being barrel aged. A fair enough beer but there are a lot of sours out there that compare without the price tag.

I absolutely love this sour blonde from O'so. It is sour, but not too much that it is off putting. That perfect amount of pucker and tartness that maintains its ability to be refreshing. I stocked up on bottles and STILL get this on tap whenever possible at O'so.
