This brew is 9% and may contain a hop cone in every bottle (2009 & 2010 vintages) ! We want to make sure to repeat this reminder that we put a hop cone in the bottle. Always pour into a glass to release the essence from the bottle.

This beer pours a pale amber with decent head. The aroma features sweet pine, rich floral, rich caramel malts, burnt orange, resin, and plant matter. The flavor is a good blend of sweet and bitter, with burnt orange peel, mango, sweet pine and resin, cannabis, grass clippings, caramel, and dandelion. The mouthfeel us fairly full with pleasant foamy carbonation. Overall a quite tasty old school west coast IPA.

Clear orange hue.
Bright white head; strong lace.
Malt & dull mango nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Malts & booze cover the fruit; slight bitter finish. Despite all that, this is smooth & drinkable.

Pours copper. Short, thick, white head that fades slowly. No hop cone.
Smells pine, malt, earthy.
Tastes doughy and caramel malt. Pine, pepper and light citrus. Finish is dry with light pine linger. Medium to full body and smooth lower medium carbonation

Well any bottle with a hop cone in it gets a minor boost in the appearance category, so cool. Other than that, usual copper color, small white head. The aroma would have been better if it was more diverse. Pretty much that standard bitter grapefruit thing going on.
Taste comes around, bitter citrus and grapefruit, malt bill restrained, a little sticky. Best thing it does is hide substantial alcohol.
