Pours hazy, orange-brown in color with 1/3 head. Taste is pine, orange, and pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation and slightly bitter. Makes for an excellent introduction to the brewery.

Served in a pint glass from the bottle.

Appearance: Semi hazy gold color with medium to heavy bubbles creating a white head rising about half a finger's length. Settles quick with almost no lacing.

Smell: malt scent which dissipates pretty quickly.

Taste: Bitter hops lacking a bit complexity. Malty as it can get and super floral.

Mouth: Dry hops, with a bitter finish with not the most everlasting aftertaste.

Overall: Descent beer but the beer does have some characteristics which could use some improvement. Good one just for a review, Salud.

Super hoppy IPA. At 7% ABV and 95 IBUs this is a memorable beer. Grassy and citrusy on the nose. Taste is well balanced with malts.

Bottled from Total in MKE.

Pours a slightly unclear dark yellow. Thick head.

Smell is heavy with piney resin, and a hint of grapefruit. Smells a bit like the original Ruination.

Taste is a bit more subdued than I thought, I was expecting a fistful of bitterness. It is very bitter, but less than I thought. Slightly unbalanced, as there isn't a whole lot of base to support it.

Mouthfeel is thinner than I thought, less ticky. Well carbonated.

Overall, a good IPA, even though the taste and feel didn't quite live up to the nose.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, tropical fruit, orange citrus and light stone fruit; more fruity than hoppy. Flavor is lightly caramel malt, piney and citrus hops, light tropical fruit, lemon, orange and grapefruit citrus; finishes with resinous piney and citrus hops with a little light estery stone fruit note in the background. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A quite hop forward IPA, as clearly advertised on the label. A good malt body with only a slight flavor character supports the hops well. Hops are mostly alpha oil bitter, with little herbal flavor, but light fruit flavors in the background, which are pleasant and frankly carry this IPA, which might be a bit overly alpha bitter otherwise. Leads me to want to try some other beers from this brewery new to the northwest.

Pours a hazy, golden yellow color with light white head.
Soapy, citrus hops. Wheat, bready malts, light grapefruit and resin. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall a decent beer but not very hoppy; wouldn't seek it out again.
