This isn't the greatest beer. It is a middle of the road DIPA. It certainly isn't Pliny. It is drinkable and I don't regret buying it. It is lacking any real hop flavor. The best thing about this beer is the mouth feel. It is neither too thick or too thin. Overall, I'd be disappointed if I made this at home.

Undated bomber at 45 degrees into snifter
Aroma of pine
Head small (2 cm, aggressive pour), off white, creamy, slowly diminishing to 3 mm ring and broken layer
Lacing good – complete rings of tiny to medium bubbles
Body medium orange, hazy
Flavor begins somewhat bitter with resinous overtones and fades into a little bitter malt; no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate medium, oily, lively carbonation

Had on tap in November 2014.

Appearance: Cloudy amber with rocky off-white head that left a fair amount of lacing on the way down.

Smell: Very nice aromatic hops. Floral and resiny, a bit fruity.

Taste: Pretty strong bitterness hits right up front, into a hardy malt backbone with just a bit of sweetness. Leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. Did not notice the alcohol much.

Mouthfeel: Well carbonated and pretty thick.

Overall: Good not-too-bitter DIPA. Plenty of hops, leaning more towards the aroma than taste, with enough malts behind it to give it some body.
