A little darker than average copper color, 3/4" white head, good retention, lace was spotty and inconsistent. Aroma was full on bitterness and alcohol with no in between.

Taste was heavy on the caramel, heavy on the alcohol, heavy on the bitterness. There are no fine touches, there is almost nothing in terms of flavor, just a big heavy malt presence and ample bitterness to go with it.

Bomber format, so they make you pay extra per/oz for this pedestrian, below average stuff. One trick pony here, the usual heavy crystal malt, heavy bitterness, we made a dipa platform.

L- Dark amber body, very cloudy with visible yeast particles floating around. 3 fingers of a foamy tan head with medium retention. Leaves a thin layer for the rest of the glass. Very nice lacing.
S- Piney hops that quickly fade into a big sweet malt note, some citrus show up.
T- Dank piney hops, caramel, bread, melon and tangerine. Leaves a heavy bitter aftertaste on the tongue.
F- Smooth, rich.
O- Very good brew, although not what one would expect from a DIPA, this is much more sweet and malt forward than the commonly hoppy explosion expected.

L- darker gold
S- sweet citrus scent
T- malty citrus, bittersweet aftertaste
F- on the thicker side for an IPA, medium/low carbonation

Kind of weird, but not bad.

Picked this up for four dollars at my grocery store by the house. Extremely underrated. Hides alcohol well. Very nice double IPAA.

Dark orange color for an IPA; light cream-colored head with OK retention.

Dank and juicy aroma, which translates to the palate; pineapple hop juice.

Lively and oily feel; medium bodied.

This is a decent brew, but there are way too many great DIPAs out there for it to truly stand out.

Mission St.'s Shipwreck is a strange brew, and maybe conditioned by my surroundings, which include nuts and chips and a little of that grounded dust that they line shuffleboard tables with. But the aroma gives off a ground yellow corn scent, with a dusky earthiness, and a smooth cashew note, like cashew butter. The flavor expands on the nut/legume theme with tons of sweet peanuts in the flavor, and that burnt caramel note that comes out of the classic Bit-O-Honey, cloying and large. If you like your caramel burnt and blackened, there's a lot to like about this taste. But I prefer mine milder, which gives the Shipwreck an off-putting flavor.
