At the brewery.

Lots of coffee aroma. Pretty much hides the roast and other stout aromas but they are there a bit.

Deep black, pint arrived with a thick tan head that's a broken thin layer after a minute.

Flavor is sweet malt and roast at first but then its got a burnt coffee or pot sitting on the warmer thing. The more I sip it the more I think it would be a much more solid beer without the coffee.

nice big body and creamy carbonation.

Overall, decent. But I'm not clamoring for another.

Dark colored pour, small mocha lookin' head to it, brown would be the descriptor color wise for the body.

Amazing aroma. Probably couldn't tell the difference between this and fresh Coffee Bender to give you an idea how damn great this smells, dare I say, and award, a perfect rating in that department. Pure delivery.

Good taste, easy to drink, not too bitter, despite the massive coffee presence. Just beautiful coffee thing going on here. One dimensional? Sure. Pliny is to hoppy what Sumatra is to coffee. Not really much else to describe it accurately.

Doesn't seem to be appreciated by the homers and locals. Cool, more for me, a good deal at 5-6$ a bomber. Will definitely be looking to score some of this when we go up north next month for elrogish's barleywine themed camping weekend.

Pitch black with dark brown edges. Small tan head. Some thin light lacing.

Roasty mocha, nutty coffee, chocolate, toasty vanilla.

Roasty bitter mocha, some toasty and nutty flavors, small creamy vanilla sweetness. medium bitterness. Very close to next level, but sitting around 4.25 for taste.

Medium full body. medium silkly feel. decent carbonation. Could maybe benefit from a little more body, but good.

Great coffee flavors. Sessionable, very drinkable. It's a stout, not an Imp Stout. Accomplishes it's goal. Tasty coffee stout. Could have this one for breakfast. Would like to try this on draft or nitro.

Served in Imperial pint glass. Poured a solid black, with just the thinnest ring of brown head that had no retention or lacing. The aroma was mostly grain, with some base roastiness floating around. I didn't pick up any coffee in the nose.

On the tongue, the flavors were just a solid, typical example. Nice grains, some roast, just a touch of hops. I don't drink coffee and am very aware of it in a beer, and I didn't taste any in this brew. The biggest negative was a weird tang in the middle that lingered on the finish. A little sour/funky. I wonder if a couple of bugs got loose in the brewery?

The body was a bit on the thin side for the style, but otherwise typical. Drinkability was OK, except for weird tang, which was tiresome. Overall, an OK beer, but not a special one. Probably worth trying if you see it, but not worth going out of your way for.

on tap at the Skep. brewed with cold pressed Sumatran coffee and flaked oats.

pours a dark brown with good head that slowly recedes. cold, there is little aroma, i let it warm and eventually a nutty coffee flavor comes out with a little bit of chocolate and sweet malt. it's definitely on the sweet side, a bit of chocolate and some nutty coffee flavor. Body is thin, surprising since its got the oats and residual sugars. Overall, its okay, a little disappointing, but definitely drinkable.

22oz bottle poured into a pair of oversized snifters

Pours dark, maybe black, with almost no head, and no visible carbonation. It looks flat from a distance, but when you look at it closely, it has a fair amount of slow, fine carbonation. Smell is powerfully coffee, to the point of barely being able to smell any beer. You can definitely detect thick roasty malts, however.

Taste is predictably dominated by coffee, with some strange fruity sweetness in the background.

Mouthfeel is unfortunately. Overall, not a bad beer, but not that great.
