I first visited the Funky Buddah in late 2009 before they moved into their current location which now services as a lounge, brewery and homebrew supply shop. I've been back many times since and it has grown to be my very favorite local spot for good beer and good times. Ryan, Kevin, Giani and all the supporting staff are wonderful, friendly, inviting and accomodating people who always make sure you have a full glass and full smile. They always have several of their own brews on tap along with a few guest taps, which have ranged anywhere from the standards (Magic Hat #9, Naragansett Lager) to full-blown tap takeover events, such as the one held by Cigar City Brewing recently. Funky Buddah's own brews are always phenomenal, and some of their specialty ones have found them nationwide notoriety, such as Maple Bacon Coffee Porter and No Crusts PB&J ale. The atmosphere is the most comfortable I've found as far as beer bars go. There are plenty of tables, both inside and outside, and even a few couches and large, comfy chairs. Things can get a little crowded during some of their bigger beer events or concerts, but you can usually grab a seat in the equally comfortable homebrew shop next door and avoid paying a cover for a show if you're just there for the beer. The only complaint I would have is that whenever there is a musical act on stage, it seems like the speaker volume is WAY too high. I find myself unable to hear the person talking right in front of me, and we usually adjourn our drinking to the outside tables or homebrew shop if it's open. Other than that, I absolutely love the Funky Buddha. I'm a proud member of their Snifter Club and they always come up with new and exciting beers, like the Bonita Applebum apple pie ale. I have also attended one of their homebrew classes and plan to buy all my homebrew equipment and ingredients there. Prices are always fair, especially for club members who get specials on Buddha brews and extended happy hour. To be honest, this place makes me wish I were single so I could spend more time there and not feel guilty!

this is hands down one of the coolest breweries i have ever visited. the original home of funky buddha, a one barrel brewery, quite the contrast to the temple they built down south. this is a really great place to visit though, the vibe is incredible, lots of buddhist figures and other eastern art, dim lighting, comfortable seating areas all over the place, benches with throw pillows, red velvet feel everywhere, a small stage in the middle. its also a hookah cafe, so they have that whole vibe going on too, its just so small and different from what everyone else is doing with their taprooms, i loved it here, and could have stayed forever. they make some cool one off batches in here, we had a series of fruited berliners that were all very good, and a neat vanilla cream ale. they also have some notable guest taps and a fine bottle list. they have nowhere near the funky buddha beers that the big brewery does, but their selection overall is still very impressive. they do tea here too, and we even had a peach tea berliner that was wonderful. this is one of the most intimate breweries i have been in too, quiet, mellow as can be, small, and with some really friendly service. you would be a fool to not stop here if you like beer and are anywhere near here at all! a highlight of my recent florida trip for sure!

This is where it all started, if you love the brewery in Oakland Park a stop at the lounge should peak your interest. The lounge often has some common FB beers on tap as well as some that exclusive to the lounge, also they have a a lot of special guest taps as well. Some beers may taste a little different than the large brewery since everything is brewed in smaller batches here. Lately the lounge has gone down hill a little bit, not as much consistency with the beers and they occasionally have an off batch. This location often has performances and different events, it can be very loud and cover charges are common. If you are looking for a quieter experience at no charge they open their homebrew shop next door which has couches and tables, but you can still get all the same beer.

Bohemian stoner-den coffeehouse vibe in a strip mall. Great selection of their own beers, guest taps, and bottles. I had a flight of Funky Buddha beers. All of the beers seemed a bit soft in texture, less co2, but made up for this in flavor. Coffees, teas, and fancy sodas available too. Will definitely go back.

It took a very long time for us to get beers even though there was hardly anyone at the bar. Don't expect good service if you're sitting on the non-music side.
