The colour is gold; the liquid is clear. The two finger head is off-white and compact; it sinks slowly leaving lots of fine lacing.
The smell is smooth with notes of honey, buttercup flowers and a touch of caramel.
The taste is smooth, too. Some grain and a touch of wort. Semi-sweet floral notes, light bitterness. Medium body. The aftertaste got growing bitterness, grainy notes of sourdough loaf, and butter. Floral notes and hints of dough and liquorice in the finish.
The carbonation is fresh, the many small bubbles are long-lived. The liquid is mid-smooth.
An uncomplicated balanced pils that got that hard-to-pinpoint Ocean house flavour.
