The colour is dark amber; the low head is beige. The liquid is clear.
The smell is light with some notes of raisins and a mild bitterness.
The taste is malty with some bitterness in the start. Nothing really stands out here. The aftertaste is a little sweet with some spicy cardamom and a mellow bitterness. The finish is at first very dry, and then a distinct flavour of raisins and other dried fruits emerges.
The carbonation is a little stronger than I had expected from an English Bitter, the liquid is almost watery.
I found this bitter a bit unclean and rough. The brewery has been in business just about one year, and I felt that this beer is a bit... Insecure?
