Pours a clear cooper color with a modest head. Quite a bit of lacing.
Smells delightfully of citrus-laden hops and malt. Quite sweet.
Taste starts with slightly bitter malts, followed by candy-esque sweetness. The contrast between the initial bitterness and the sweetness is explicit, but somewhat works.
Solid pale ale. There's enough here to keep it interesting, yet simple enough to remain drinkable. I could see myself drinking quite a bit of this on a Swedish summer day by the West Coast.

The beer is clear and goes into a reddish hue. The foam is thin and white. The foam disappears rather quickly, leaving no trace. The smell is a bit malty tones, and you notice the hops significantly. Some roasted tones and hiding behind a little caramel. You find a little orange, honey and some bread. Some scents of straw. When you get the glass to her mouth, then a good malty flavor followed closely by hops. Again, a little bit toasted shades up. Is school in the forefront, with the honey by with a little orange. Find some straw, pine needles, cereals. The beer is slightly bitter, and it remains a little while. But has elements of some sweet notes, nice mix in a good balance. Light to medium body. Carbonation is medium strong. The bitterness increases in the aftertaste, but is well balanced. A little small sweet and a certain oiliness. Dry and refreshing, with a good balance.

A: Pours dark copper with a large wihte compact head that leaves decent lacings.
S: Lots of roasted semi-sweet malts, caramell. Some mild hops (very mild considering the style). Candy-like sweetness lures in the back.
T: Bitter hops and liqourice up front, but instantly there is the rich malt that brings chocolate (dark and bitter) to the table.
M: Long lovely bitter aftertaste. Body is medium while carboantion is rather mild.
O: This is not an APA - rated as such; poor. But if this had been an EPA there had been only 4:s

A clear dark amber brew, an off-white head, good lacing, small curtains.
Smelling tea, earl grey, apples, and nettles.
Starting sweet with bread, tea and lemon peel.
Medium high carbonation, an almost coarse dry finish.
A good hoppy bitter summer ale.

A: Golden liquid with a lathery foam with uneven bubbles. The head is about one finger high. Only some lacings on the glass. Looks very fresh, almost like a really fresh real ale.
S: Pale ale malts, Crystal malts, candy, bubblegum, a bit of floral hoppiness.
T: Crusty cookies, cornflakes, lots of pale ale malts and a very nice bitterness. The aftertaste is at first dry but continues with a more sweet flavor that feels refreshing. Very balanced in general.
M: Strong carbonation up front. Small bubbles. Feels very smooth.
O: A very nice beer that I certainly will lay my hands on again if given the chance to do so. It feels very much like a typical Oceanbryggeriet beer.

The liquid is clear; the colour dark gold. The finger thick head is beige. Some lacing occurs.
The smell is malty with a distinct note of Maris Otter Pale Ale malt-wort that is present in (more or less) all Ocean beers. Some caramel and a light hoppy note.
The taste starts off with a fresh hoppy flavour that makes me think more of UK than US or NZ. Clean moderate bitterness. Caramel, hints of tobacco and cereals. Light to medium body. The bitterness increases in the aftertaste, as well as the smooth sweetness. Some hay and a nice mix of bitter and sweet flavours. Hints of newly cut tree twigs.
The carbonation is medium strong; lots of small bubbles. The liquid is light and smooth.
A pleasant beer that reminds me of some of the modern British IPAs. Not bad at all.
