My first pint of Elliott Bay beer was characterized by a strangely persistent dishwater aroma accented by an essence of black tea. The taste revealed vague altbier styling with integrated bittering and little forward hop flavor. Spry lace formed readily behind a body of unfiltered amber. A measure of diacetyl made a modest intrusion.

Elliott Bay claims this as their best selling beer. It is brewed with organic malts and hopped exclusively with Cascade hops. It's not a horribly flawed ale but otherwise lacks excitement and definition while yearning for a fuller body.
