A - Pours a deep, but still slightly clear red-brown color with a bit of off-white head. The head faded fairly quickly to a ring around the glass and left some lace behind.
S - Aroma is full of sweet caramel malts and some sweet dark fruits. There is also just a touch of vanilla and oak.
T - Starts off with some sweet dark fruit flavors and rich caramel malts. Little bit of vanilla notes in the background. Through the middle some oak flavor alongside just a touch of hops come through. The finish is a mix of the sweet malt and fruit flavors and just a touch of oak and booze that linger.
M - Medium bodied and moderate-low carbonation. Feels a touch thick and syrupy with just a hint of a oily finish, but fairly clean. Could use a touch more carbonation.
D - Very drinkable. The 9+%abv here stays very well hidden and the beer is very smooth. Could use a bit more punch in the flavor and the nose, but otherwise a pretty tasty beer.

Pouring a cellar temp 22 oz bottle into a snifter.
The beer pours a clear mahogany color with fluffy cream colored head of 3 cm that fades to a thin edge layer slowly after the pour.
Aroma is sweet and malty with caramel and some dark fruit. Maybe a bit of vanilla, but the booze is well hidden.
First sip reveals a silky smooth texture with a slightly chewy texture with very fine and spacious carbonation.
Flavor is malty with caramel and toffee some brown sugar and molassess. No hops anywhere on this one. Very sweet maybe a little bit of vanilla too. I get just a little bit of booze. The 22 oz goes down very easy and I find this beer enjoyable. I would try it again and actually wish I had a second bottle. A very nice malty beer with a bit of booze that kicks in by the time I finish the bottle.
