Nice dark black beer with a tan head that fades and leaves a few specks of lacing behind. The aroma is amazing and full of chocolate, coffee and sweet, roasted malt. The taste is not as sweet as the aroma but it is perfect for this beer. There is a light sweetness, lots of chocolate and some amazing coffee. There is a pervasive roastiness and a nice char finish. I really think this is a great beer.

16 oz can. Pours dark brown with a big bubbly tan head that retains fairly well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet lactose and roast coffee.

The flavor is sweet sugary lactose and chocolate with big ashy roast coffee and a little fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a decent coffee stout. A bit too much lactose and ashy roast that don't mesh well.

Pours dark brown. Short, foamy, tan head that lasts shortly.

Smells roast malt, coffee and light dark chocolate.

Tastes mostly coffee and roast malt. Followed by caramel malt and lighter chocolate. Dry finish with coffee linger. Lighter medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.

Dammit I trade too much with Midwestern peeps, I can't even remember who threw this in as an extra but thank you! Dark brown pour, thin tan head 1/3". Aroma smacks heavily of coffee, dat boi did good. Roasted malt, not heavy underneath that.

The coffee continues to drop first and foremost in the taste. Not an overly thick stout, some would say watery or thin, but its just a normal regular ass coffee stout, not an imperial thick sludge barrel aged one. Not thin, just not heavy and thick. Reasonable. Good use of chocolate malt. Could be called a porter. Whateva.

So I guess this one is gonna come in above the median rating. I guess locals don't know what they got, since this isn't something you need to Chicago pour, it doesn't rate as highly as it should. Or maybe its not rare. I think its simply a very good coffee beer that I would crush with regularity if it was around here.
