Our version of the classic English-style Brown Ale has a blend of six different malts and a hop schedule that results in a low hop character. The unique malt character brings to mind the taste of a blend of various nuts.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark amber-brown body with nearly an inch or so of manilla-esque foam on top.
Smell: Pleasant blend of malty notes - toasted breadcrust, light coffee, light chocolate and nutty. Subtle estery fruitiness further in the background.
Taste: Toasted malts with a decent degree of nuttiness and a sweet dark caramel veneer. There are flavors of roasty coffee and milk chocolate present, though these are very restrained. Slight fruitiness with a little hint of sweet cherry.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Overall: A likable, easy-drinking, well-built little brown. Sadly, a thing pretty difficult to find these days.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a murky dark amber with no head and no lace. The scent had subtle malt and nut notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle toffee and nut presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a decent beer.

12 oz. can dated 3/19/21
Hazy brown color with small tan head that quickly fades. General toasted bread aroma, not much else. Medium thin body could use more carbonation. Bready caramel malt flavor. Not much hop flavor to speak of. Easy drinking decent brown ale but I wouldn’t seek out another. Plenty of better examples out there

For true an English-style Brown Ale with lots of hop and malts flavor. I will have to buy/drink another one and add to this review.
