Very Good
India Pale AleIndia Pale Ale
Notes: Our India Pale Ale has a pronounced hop bitterness and wonderful hop aroma. The taste immediately gives away the high hop characteristics with malt aspects playing second fiddle to this fantastic example of the style.

Poured from a pull off top can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very lightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger head of just off-white foam. The head has a great level of retention slowly fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is massive in intensity with tons of tropical fruits of tangerine and papaya along with big hop aromas of a herbal and earthy nature. Along with these smells comes some rather strong vegetal smells as well as a bit of a harvest fruit smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a very doughy and bready flavor that has a great level of sweetness due to some tropical fruits of tangerine mixed with some caramel flavors. There is a herbal and vegetal hop flavor right from the start that grow stronger as the taste moves forward. Along with these hops comes some flavors of an earthy hop and a bit of hay. The vegetal flavors really amp up at the end, and with a touch of harvest fruit sweetness of pear, one is left with an oddly pleasant vegetal/herbal hopped, sweeter, and thicker malt taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the thicker and chewier side with a lower carbonation level. The feel really fits the thicker malt flavors and the odd hop and sweet tastes rather well, and actually seems to accentuate them and make them more approachable and enjoyable.
Overall – Now I may be an oddity, but I always sorta like a little bit of herb, earth, pine, and/or vegetable flavor in my IPA. It creates a more dank and interesting flavor profile for the brew (I am sorta tired of fruity and citrusy IPAs…). This is an interesting one that delivers many of the aforementioned qualities. I like it, but feel it will likely be a polarizing brew. Try it if you have the chance. You may like it, or you may not, but it is interesting any which way.

Out of a one-of-kind can. My first review I prefer IPA's. That should count for something. ;) This beer actually got me to register an account! Simply put, its not world class but worthy of higher BA SCORE (currently 86) Its an outstanding beer rather than the current rating of very good. Admittedly, I care less about look, smell or feel. I prefer rating by taste. Its a great tasting IPA. The pop top can is very unique as well. Simple joys, simply put. In other words its good enough where I would seek to find and try their other beers if ever in Nebraska area (I enjoyed this one in San Antonio, Texas purchased from an HEB grocery store there). Keep venturing out!

Serving glass: Poured from can into Imperial Pint.

Appearance: Cloudy amber-orange with nice, off-white head and good lacing.

Smell: Sharp citrus that is definitely Citra hops. Some pine, pineapple and a little bit dank as well.

Taste: Very hoppy and juicy, with grapefruit, orange and pineapple. Fairly dank, with notes of marijuana and onion. The finish is quite bitter and piney. I guess there are some malts under there but I wasn't really paying attention to them.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, medium to full that is fairly oily, very dry.

Overall: Excellent IPA that is very juicy and hoppy. Quite underrated IMO.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Big three finger off white head with decent retention. Leaves a good amount of lacing.

Smell: A crisp, juicy, and earthy hop forward aroma with hints of citrus and grass. Citrus hop hints of grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, lemon, mango, and melon. Earthy and floral hops with hints of pine resin and grass. Solid malt backing with hints of sweet caramel, biscuit, yeast, and cracker. A pretty solid aroma.

Taste: Like the smell indicates, a juicy and piney hop forward taste with good notes of citrus, pine, and grass. Upfront citrus hops with notes of orange peel, grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, mango, and melon. Solid presence of earthy and floral hops with a dank presence of pine resin and grass. Good sweet malt backing with notes of caramel, grains, biscuit, and yeast. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, juicy, and pretty smooth with a drying finish.

Overall: A very solid West Coast style IPA. Good notes of citrus and pine with a solid malt presence.

Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma has vegetal, grassy, slightly dank hops and some malt in the background. Taste starts with slightly nutty malts and vegetal hops. Finish is earthy and bitter with some toasted malt flavor. Medium to light body with smooth mouthfeel. Overall it's a pretty good IPA leaning more towards the old school style.

A lot of people had talked this up, so I was really excited to try it but it's just mediocre. Too bitter and overly carbonated...

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden-orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and toasted. Sweet caramel malt with a citrusy/piney bitterness.

Good beer. Not too happy, but enough to give it flavor.
