12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Pours a good "white" golden color. Hazy but not cloudy. Head formation and retention is awful. No lacing.

S: Slight wheaty nose, but crisp grain character comes through too. Traces of musty yeast. Coriander comes through with a peppery but dusty smell. Muted orange peel. Slightly metallic, and some oily and floral hops.

T: Doughy wheat character up front. Peppery coriander and oily orange peel. Papery. Spicy hops. Wheaty on the finish with lingering orange peel and coriander spice.

M: Light. Slightly frothy, but a firm malt texture dominates. Little in the way of carbonation.

O: lacking in character. This feels like a pretty half-assed wit to begin with, but it sure didn't travel well either.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that quickly died down, leaving a bit of lacing on the surface and a partial collar around the edge of the glass. Any traces of bubbles on the surface eventually completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of wheat malts are present in the nose along with notes of lemons and hints of spices.
T: Much like the smell, the taste is dominated by flavors of wheat and has some subtle notes of lemon citrus. Bits of spices are also noticeable towards the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and had a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is different than most witbiers and appears to be filtered because it is crystal clear in appearance. The taste doesn't offer much complexity but the beer is very easy to drink.

A: Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and very faint golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy white head that quickly reduces to a small to medium sized patch of very thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of wheat malts with light aromas of lemon citrus and spices (coriander and just a hint of clove).

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of wheat malts with extremely minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than light flavors of lemon citrus and light flavors of spices (coriander and a hint of clove). Minimal amounts of bitterness and just a hint of lingering witbier yeast present in the finish.

M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Easy to drink but not very exciting. I could have a couple of these but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to purchase this one again (as it is a touch pricey when compared with comparable beers in the style).

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

So this random Lebanese brewery shows up at my local shop, with their current lineup spread about the mix-a-six rack. Sometimes they make ticking really easy... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear wan straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises coriander, light red apple flesh, light black pepper, cracked wheat, lemon zest, and a bit light orange zest. The taste holds notes of lemon rind (very much like biting into a lemon straight away, but with a subdued sourness), coriander, light wheat, and the vague sense of green apple juice. Things just don't come across as bright and spicy as in the aroma, and a general feeling of spring water pervades the finish. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel that verges on watery at times. Overall, a decent little wit, but one that just doesn't fully deliver on the heady promises made by its scent.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light body; with a watery and lightly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a decent witbier. All around solid robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.

The 961 Witbier is delicious and excellent with Sushi! My friends and I had a wonderful night on it. The light yellow colour, and crisp finish left a sweet taste on my pallet. It is a light beer, light than the 961 Lager, but still a great drink. The best thing about it is that its not an adult soft drink trying to be a beer. It's not over carbonated and doesn't leave a fizzy feeling on your tongue like most other adult soft drinks trying to be light beers!

Poured from a bottle into a glass. A faint sound when cap was released. Disappointed this had almost zero carbonation and zero head.

Body and mouthfeel was very thin. Spices were hidden in the back. Unripe apple and pear flavors dominate. Not sure if this was from age and the spices faded but it was not what I expected.

I will certainly try another selection from this brewery but this was not my favorite.

Not anywhere near a witbier. Very malty, oily slick. No head. No aroma. Main reason for trying this was to tick Lebanon off of the list. Weak, sweet and malty, ugly beer.
