Our pumpkin ale is brewed with generous amounts of real pumpkin blended into the mash. The subtle fresh pumpkin flavor is enhanced by the addition of a touch of traditional autumn spices and sweet dough, thus creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, a bold malt center and a crisp finish. We are proud to offer you a balanced and delectable fall treat. Suitable for zombies.

Canned 6/20/23

I’ve heard pretty good things about Spring House so I’m excited to try them, and a Pumpkin Beer is perfect for this cool October night. This season hasn’t been great in terms of new-to-me Pumpkin Beers so far, maybe this one can turn it around. Let’s crack it open and find out

Pours a cloudy amber brown with 2 fingers of creamy light beige head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing

The nose is definitely sweet here, but I’m actually really drawn to it since it feels like a natural sweetness. I’m picking up on aromas of pumpkin meat, brown sugar, vanilla bean, dark bread, raisin, earthy cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, and light toffee

The sweetness doesn’t translate quite as well in taste, but I still really like it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting raisin, pumpkin meat, brown sugar, dark toast, nutmeg, vanilla bean, and light caramel. The swallow brings notes of sweet brown sugar, pumpkin meat, raisin, vanilla bean, dark bread, caramel, and light nutmeg

A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth yet crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry and balanced

I’ll be damned, this is my favorite new Pumpkin Beer for the season. Quite honestly I’m surprised by the lower average on this one, it’s very authentic tasting and not too heavy handed on the spices

12oz can from Tavour. Pumpkin ale season is honest once again. This beer pours out at dark copper with a very scant head. Aroma and taste both follow the traditional pumpkin pie spice pattern , touches of cinnamon clove, cardamom and of course pumpkin. Nothing new here nothing exciting.

DATE: November 5, 2022... OCCASION: Michael's first football season is in the books--a lot to like, a lot of learning... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... a dark amber brown body supports a two-fingered, thick, spongy off-white head that displays resiliency... mega cinnamon, nutmeg, light citrus, toasted bread crust, apple pie--fruity and spicy, evoking a dessert...this is the 8.5% version, and I compliment the brewers for making this bigger while keeping it drinkable--smooth at the throat, buzzing at the teeth, and agreeable in between... medium to full-bodied, it holds its own with a lingering finish... apple, cinnamon and nutmeg are big and bold... its malt profile eases off its aroma a bit, while its citrus kicks up to suggest a holiday punch... overall, enjoyable and a bit different from the plethora of pumpkin beers that sprout around this time...the first I have had from Spring House--nice to have met them!

One of the better pumpkin offerings in my opinion.
Just not my bag.

Edit 10/23
It tastes like pumpkin spice floor cleaner now. I don't know what happened to this one, but it's not nearly as good as it used to be.

Into a clear glass liter mug, from a big bottle this comes. Copper colored with a dense and foamy off-white head. Its smell isn't as spicy as most in its style, much more on the starchy side. Very nice glass lacing is included in the look. Pumpkin itself hasn't much flavor, so it's what is done with it. This one avoids the cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice so often overloaded into "pumpkin" beers, which are usually just beers with pumpkin pie spices. What is left is a subtle dose of cloves. It's nice to taste what real pumpkin does for the texture and taste. This is a bold attempt to do so and should be appreciated as such. It's probably closer to the original pumpkin based beers of the Pilgrims.

Quite an exceptional pumpkin ale pumpkin is Vegetal almost minty like bitter hops with slight vanilla to round it out and a good dose of cinnamon and nutmeg. Drinks rather light the 8.5% is very balanced. overall I've had worse pumpkin beers this one may not be the best could use a bit more sweetness but it's a decent pumpkin ale that reminds you more of a beer rather than just a pie.

First, my pounder can says 8.5% not 7.1%. Great looking can of a zombie eating the “brains” out of a jack o lantern. Darker golden or lighter amber with a decent offwhite head and some haze, this looks good. Sweet and pumpkins note on the nose, with the spices this almost smells like root beer. Much more even in the flavor where the pumpkin and related spices take center stage but not in a cloying way. Good job on the taste here. Slightly watery feel may hurt this beer a bit but very easy to drink. Good stuff here.

Poured hard from a tall can into a mug, forming a few fingers of frothy white head that slowly faded to heavy lacing. Hazy amber color. Smell is a very nice combo of pumpkin and nutmeg. Taste follows, with maybe a bit more nutmeg heavy than pumpkin. Not too complicated, but very tasty spice- focused pumpkin ale. A bit of breadiness at the end. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Glad I found of few of these.

Best pumpkin beer I've ever had. They weren't distributing this year but luckily a co-worker was headed to Lancaster and grabbed me a six pack. I describe this as the ultimate Halloween time beer, "haunted house in your mouth".
