300ml bottle is poured into a Czech's lager glass. A- almost black colour with a browny head that keeps it until finish S- smell ilke a coffee as expected from a "cerne" T- you can feel roasted malt, coffee flavour and a little bit bitter chocolate. It's a smooth lager pivo without too much carbonation. After tasting four different brand of Czech dark beer respectively I can say that this is the best cerne

Format: standard light brown 500mL bottle with a traditional Czech label. I like it.

Appearance: clear mid-brown with a small off-white head. Drops to a thin cap.

Aroma: some roasted malts, but mainly sweet biscuit malts. Not much in the way of hops.

Taste: sweet malts and some light grain, actually a bit funky. Really needs some hops bitterness over the top.

Aftertaste: not much here either, just a touch of that saccharin malt fug tagging along.

Mouth feel: low to medium body with again a low to moderate carbonation. I would imagine that a bit more carbonation would give the beer a bit more body, and carry the flavour a bit better.

Overall: not a great dark lager at all. Has no body and very little carbonation to carry the flavour. Too much sweet malts with no hop bitterness.

Pours dark mahogany, one finger and a half tan head, creamy and with great retention.
Smell of roasted malts, some caramel, some faint nuts, faint wood chips and dry dark fruit.
Nice clear caramel, mildly roasted malts, grains, butter. Dark fruit zing lifts it up just enough. Some dry wood, peanut, very faint dark chocolate. Hint of licorice, some herbs in the finish, mild bitterness. Aftertaste of dark bread crust.
Soft body, smooth, low carbonation, easy to gobble.
Feels fresh, tasty, light, don't avoid this one when you have dark Czech lagers to choose from.
