Classic looking brew; cloudy yellow-gold, with tinges of orange hue in the body, and capped with a big pillowy froth. The nose is moderate on the banana, with very little (or no) bubblegum notes, though it does seem a bit lemon zesty. The flavor offers more dry grain than most examples of the style, as well as revealing a more herbal-earthy hop contribution; it works well in this case. The feel is soft and creamy and very refreshing. Good stuff here; I'll have another...

A: Cloudy, dark orange - almost tan - body beneath a full head of frothy off-white foam.
S: Typical weizen yeast, but it's the strain that delivers lots of sulphur and a hint of lemon rather than the sweet banana and clove. Gentle wheat-based maltiness.
T: Taste follows aroma, as usual. The bitterness is nicely balanced on the low side and the streak of acidity from the yeast makes up the difference.
M: Light-medium in body with an effervescent carbonation that gently bristles the tongue.
D: An authentic weizen, no doubt. Great drinkability.
