Went to after recommendation from fellow BA that they had Deschutes Hop Trip here and was the only place in town that did. I'd never heard of the place before and looked it up online. I made the short drive and was immediately impressed.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much, part of a strip mall and my only complaint with the building itself is that I had a hard time finding the door but that’s probably my own problem. Its located just off the 215 on Durango. Inside is very nice. Nice wood floors, high ceilings, nice displays. Big, but not too big. Seems to focus a little more on wine but there is some coolers in the back with beer and an aisle as well with several beer related end caps and displays.

Selection is good. Different from Lee's. Lee's has more offerings but Khoury's seems to have better ones. Lots of their offerings are available at Lees but they have several beers I have never seen at a Lee's before. Especially nice selection of Belgians. Prices are comparable. Seems to be most things are about the same, some a buck or so higher, some a buck or so less so it seems to about even out.

What I like is the service. The first time I visited there were a couple of guys (one being the owner I think) talking about home brewing. The next time or two I started talking with Michael who knew his beer well and made some great recommendations. Never once at a Lee's have I had an experience like that. It’s a much warmer, classier atmosphere. There was even a time where I mentioned a particular limited release beer that I didn’t think was available out West and they went and called their distributor to see if they could get it (couldn’t, but a nice gesture). Each time I've been back they staff has recognized me and welcomed me.

Overall a great place and a much different experience than Lee's. Yeah, there's only 2 locations and a somewhat smaller selection, but I guarantee it'll be worth the trip.

On Friday a group of BAs I was in Las Vegas visited Khoury's shop on Durango Ave because it was rated # 1 on BeerAdvocate for beer stores in Las Vegas. Sadly, we found an okay selection of maybe 15 different 750s, and 20 different six packs. Not much of a selection, and far less then I saw at the Lee's liquors I had been to in the past.

However, when checking out at the register the manager told me that Sunday 8/22/2010 would be the last day the Durango Ave store (where we were) would be open. They were closing the store in 2 days!

The lack of selection may be explained by the store's imminent closing. However, the manager was *super* helpful with our purchases and make recommendations for other beer restaurants, and contacts to make at these places!

Extremely nice establishment with a large selection of wine, spirits, and craft/non-craft beer. Khoury's has a friendly, knowledgeable staff and decent prices on all products, with specials running throughout the store. Temperature is kept well within the acceptable range of a professional retailer (they're not skimping on the A/C even during the cooler seasons). The store is well organized and easy to maneuver through. There's plenty to look at and try. Regular wine tastings and the occasional in-store beer demo are a very nice feature as well.

(There is a second location in Henderson.)

Khoury's is located on Durango not too far off 215, just a few miles from the Strip. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall where it is situated. I almost passed it as the sun was starting to set because their sign is kind of hard to discern.

The inside is well spaced with wine taking up a good part of the store. The beer is in the rear, with much of it in coolers, along with some imports on shelves.

The beer selection is pretty good, although unfortunately there were no singles broken down from multi-packs, just bombers and beers that come in singles to begin with. Domestic craft brewers like Stone, Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Deschutes, New Belgium and DFH are present. As for imports, there were many companies represented. Beer from Belgium, the UK, Russia and Italy were well-stocked.

Service on a weekday evening was good, especially considering they were running a wine tasting during my visit. Someone made it a point to ask me if I was looking for anything in particular and to point out some unique beers.

Overall this is a worthwhile place to visit on a trip to Vegas.

The owner is very nice and helpful. I had a 30 minute conversation with him about multiple beers and brewers. He will go above and beyond for his customers, and I'd recommend going to Khoury's over the Lee's liquor. The beer selection is limited, due to lack of space, but they do carry quality beers that are sometimes difficult to find in Nevada. I think the owner pays more respect to beer than any other seller I have found in the southern nevada area. I'd like to see this store do well so that they will expand and eventually be able to increase their selections of beers. Go check this place out if you would like to try some beers that are hard to find.

Stopped into Khoury's a few times while I was in Vegas. They have a small selection, but a good selection. I was able to get several beers by Nøgne Ø, Deschutes anniversary wit, black butte xx, stone anniversary, unibroue 17, and several other great beers.

I never saw Nøgne Ø or the anniversary wit at Lee's while I was in Vegas so it is a good idea to check Khoury's as they may have some things other places don't.

The guy who runs Khoury's seemed to be a big beer nut as he always commented on my purchases and seemed to think it was funny that I always came in and bought stuff as soon as it came in (Unibroue 17, Stone Anniversary, Black Butte XX). He also mentioned one day that he was going to California that weekend to load up on Alesmith for himself.

Nice place and definitely worth checking out.

I've recently moved into this part of Vegas, so will try to make this my first stop for beer. The main reason is the service. Very friendly and helpful folks, most of whom know their beers pretty well. While talking with them I found out I work with a relative of the owners, so that was a nice added incentive to shop here.

Selection was good, and they seem open to trying to get new offerings in. I do hope their beer selection grows over time, as they still are missing quite a few brews that their competitors at Lee's stock (except for the new Lee's just around the corner from this location which has a very small selection compared to their other stores).

Value was reasonable. I saw a couple beers priced a dollar or so more here than elsewhere, but I also saw a couple priced a dollar or so cheaper here too, so I guess it all balances out.

Overall this is a nice place to shop. I do like to experiment by trying all different kinds of beers, so I'll do most of my main shopping here and whatever I can't find here I'll go elsewhere. I wish the folks here well and hope they prosper, the certainly deserve it.

Located just about 1/2 mile off I-215 on Durango, it is easy to get to and find in a typical tan colored strip mall on the left side. The store was very clean and neat which always gets extra points for me. Several refridgerators hold numerous micros like New Belgium, Wasatch, Stone, and Rogue. There is also a warm aisle that sports many different beers too. There were not as many selections as you may find in the Lake Mead Lee's, but you may come across some items that will intice any out-of-stater like myself.

Prices seemed very reasonable, probably a bit cheaper than expected. The service was pleasant, but it was midday on a Tuesday, so I didn't expect much.

If you are in this side of town, this is a must stop for some good beers.

i love this place...owner is a super cool guy that will go above and beyond for you...i noticed a six pack of dogfish head behind the register and asked if they were carrying it and he told me no it was a gift for one of his employees, but he took my name and phone number and said next time he is out of town he will call me and tell me what is on the shelf and he will pick up dogfish head for me and bring it back, that is awesome!

not a huge selection, but quality seems to be here...last time i was in the place i spoke to the owner for atleast 45 minutes about beer, homebrewing etc...he is entertaining the idea of starting to carry some homebrew supplies so vegas homebrewers when you go in there speak to him about what he should carry that locals would buy...
