The first beer I try on a visit to the pub with fish113d.
The beer arrives at cellar temp in a pint glass.
Beer is a hazy amber color with eggshell white creamy .5cm head resting on the surface.
Aroma is mild with some grassy hops and a bit of fruity yeast mixing with caramel malt.
First sip reveals a lite body and next to no carbonation. Flavor starts caramel and allows some green apple fruitiness in the middle. The finish is dry and grassy with a slight bitterness lingering in my mouth for quite a while.
This is a great beer on cask, go check it out!

Presentation: On tap at the Selin’s Grove Brewery during a quiet Saturday afternoon visit. Although it was available on Cask I opted for the tap version.

Appearance: Copper orange body with a dirty white head. Decent carbonation levels but the head soon breaks to leave a thin covering.

Nose: Lovely soft toasted malts and fresh sappy hops.

Taste: Another juicy offering from the Grove, others have mentioned caramel and it is there but not in the traditional sense, balanced against the juicy hops it has a toasty feel rather a sweet sugary one. There is a little sweetness in the finish though and this is my only minor beef with this Pale Ale. Nevertheless, this is a very quaffable libation.

Mouthfeel: The conditioning was low, as was the level of head retention, and the overall feel of this was akin to a light shandy, which ironically adds to its Drinkability.

Drinkability: I was in the course of trying as many of the Selin’s Grove brews as possible, if I had not, I would have slugged another pint or two of this one for sure.

Overall: One of my favorites from the days drinking. Recommended.

My first beer at Selinsgrove, a beer on CASK! Made a day trip with Sulldaddy to try some of their much-hyped brews.

Pours a nice pale amber color with a dense 1/2" of creamy cream-colored head that clings to the glass leaving nice latticework on the sides. This pale ale also looks pretty hazy.

Taking a nice deep breath through my nose, the aroma is of some light grassy hops along with some caramel sweetness, some yeast also found and the hint of some fruit- maybe grapes or plums.

Taking a sip, I get a bit of banana flavors from it, which is kinda weird for a pale ale to me, but I could swear it was bananas! Some grassy, bitter hops as well with a granny apple peel flavor up front. Maybe it wasn't bananas? ;)

Lightly carbonated, the body is full and smooth! The 5.5% is there just a little on the finish with a slight drying, but not enough to worry about.

Drinkable? Does a bear poop in the woods??? Heck yes! If I weren't so busy trying other brews of their's I could drink a growler easily!!!

Another nice offering from the cask from the gem of a little brewpub.

Hazy dull amber in color. Thick, off-white head with great lacing. Aromas are very "bold", especially for a cask offering, with lots of fresh citrus, bannana, and "perfumey" scents. Very different and very nice. Flavor tasted extremely fresh, with quite a lot of spicy character to it from the hops. Notes of fruity esters show up as well. There's a rise of sweetness in the middle, only to be washed away by bitterness in the aftertaste. The spicy zip really hangs around for a long time...this is a good thing. "Husky" notes at the end. Low carbonation with a very nice body. Excellent mouthfeel and emminently quaffable. One more top-flight beer from this place.
