Enjoyed by me on tap at the Brewpub about 12 hours ago. Poured into a clean, clear pint glass. This beer was described by the bartender as exactly HopCat Pel Kwint with Pinot Noir added.
A Dark brown, opaque body under a very creamy head with excellent lacing left on the glass after repeated sips. 4.0
S Some distant malt to this one. Repeated sips were frustrating since I was not picking up much aroma. Was the Pinot Noir clouding the Pel Kwint's sweetness? 3.5
T Sweet malt bomb with little to no hops taste. I don't know that I got a seperate taste or sensation of the Pinot though. It tended to blend very well with the Pel Kwint I suppose. I love this beer! 4.5
M Syrupy, sticky. Love it. 4.5
D Good as it is a malt bomb (great!) but it is a bit heavy, foreboding. 4.0

Heavy brown in color; solid head; moderate to heavy lacing that remind generally consistent; slightly sweet on the nose; boozy too; moderate sweet on the tongue; passive maple flavor; solid and well-balanced brown; not overly nuanced but certainly a solid take on a brown with local flavors instilled.

"An imperial brown ale fermented with American and Belgian yeast."
A_Thick beer, dark brown with slight ruby red hue when held to the light. Super thick, creamy tan head with great retention. Lacing coats the glass.
S_Malt,caramel,almonds and a little spice.
T_Very malty. Smooth nutty, caramel, brown sugar.Nice touch of spice. Pretty well balanced not to sweet. Not picking up the Belgian yeast at all.
M_Super creamy,thick,and easy to drink.
D_Probably the most impressive brown ale I have ever had.
