Visited here once. Server was fairly inattentive and it was not busy. Wasn't awful, but noticeable.
The worst part of my visit came from the Boss Tweed that I ordered. The beer came out that ugly greyish/brownish. You know, that color that happens when a home brewed NEIPA gets oxidized due to age. I have no idea how old it was, but it was the worst BT I've ever had.
I debated saying something, but I was there with non beer-loving friends and decided to just drink it and keep my mouth shut.
Instead I tried to shift my focus on the crack fries I was having for the first time. That did the trick and I ordered more with my meal after the appetizer!

Beer. You like beer, right? Well, they've got it. If you live in Michigan, Kentucky, or Indiana, you've probably noticed you have a shiny new HopCat in your local college town. The OG spot in Grand Rapids is a little cooler than the regular bar HopCats, only because they brew their own beer there. So you have a few of their handmade goodies right next to all those taps of amazing beer in one spot. The old feel to the bar is an added bonus. It's busy, Really, really busy but I suggest going just to drink and get food later. It's just easier to snag a seat at the bar. You want to embrace all that beer. The bartenders are some of the most knowledgeable you'll find. Craft beer heaven.
