most of 2 12 oz. cans poured into 20 oz. tall mug
(5/14/18 canned-on date printed on bottom of cans)
L: clear pale yellow topped by 1-inch head of white foam; no sticking or lacing but it keeps a thick collar of white foam and part of a skin
S: sweet lemon candy, grass, grain, peach, yeast
T: grain and earth
F: crispy middleweight, very full from the carbonation that expands into a tingling foamy feel
O: solid all around, nothing untoward, yet somehow it's missing that pinch of Southern Star character I tend to find in all their beers — it's hard to define the "it" thing that's missing, but I expected either a bit more earthy/Old World hop flavor or something exciting from the malt; it's entirely possible my palate is off, so I'll readjust as I work through the six-pack if necessary ... as it is, I won't buy the beer again, but I wouldn't turn it down if offered

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is grainy and moderately heavy of harvest and stone fruit smell of peach, apricot, and some pear. Along with these smells comes a touch of grass, rounding out the smell nicely and producing a sweeter kolsch smell overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter grainy taste with the sweet being a mix of caramel and some of the fruits that were detected in the nose. Upfront the caramel is heavier with it dwindling as the taste moves forward. All the while the fruit flavors of apricot and peach grow stronger. A touch of a herbal and grassy hop develop at the very end and leave one with a slightly more sweet, but still crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. Overall for the flavors and the style the feel is pretty decent and makes for an easy sipping brew.
Overall – A pretty easy drinking, slightly sweeter, but still crushable Kolsch. A nice drinker.

Same review as another below it- wouldn't buy it again but I wouldn't turn it down if offered. It's one of the better kolsch's I've tried being biased and not a fan of the style.

12oz canned 1-2-19 (opened 1-31-19)
1/2" white head with limited retention. Golden beer with a semi-cloudy, maybe unfiltered appearance.
Grainy malt, light breadiness with a fruity, yeast aroma.
LIght beerish - it's a don't think about it pound it down 100 degree Texas day drinker. I feel like there should be more though, seems to be missing something. I'm not saying much about the flavors but I don't have much to say. So-so.
Light bodied, medium carbonation. Crisp-ish. Short finish...easy to drink.
Decent.

This didn't live up to expectations, yet it did go well with my white fish. Overall, there wasn't much aroma or taste and I wanted the carbonation to be slightly higher.

Pale transparent amber or straw color with a white head. Smells of grain or summer grasses. Mild bready flavor with a hint of citrus. The bitterness is restrained, which I appreciate. Light bodied, slightly dry, clean, refreshing. Good warm-weather beer.

Very bright clear yellow color. Smell is faint. Taste is of clean malt and earthy hops with a distinct lemon flavor. It’s very dry and has a super clean finish. This would be an outstanding choice to introduce some one to craft beer and not scare them away. Very nice and drinkable.
