Jet-black in color, this monster smells of coffee and chocolate. The taste is much of the same, with hints of creamy toffee and roasted malt. Smooth and delicious, this medium bodied ale is all about the malts, but has enough hop bitterness to be balanced.

A - Very light color for a stout, almost closer to a very dark brown ale. The head is great and is two and a half fingers and sticks around for a long time and leaves a lacing every inch down the glass.

S - Light aroma, but dead on for style. Some dark rich sweet malts, a hint of coffee and a bit of alcohol at the end.

T - Taste is complex, the malt coats the mouth with a slight hop and alcohol burn. In the aftertaste is the roasted malt and coffee.

M/D - Mouthfeel is a bit light, but coats the mouth nicely and the burn isn't excessive even with the high ABV. Reasonably drinkable stout that I'm enjoying. Best stout I've ever had from a can!
