Jet-black in color, this monster smells of coffee and chocolate. The taste is much of the same, with hints of creamy toffee and roasted malt. Smooth and delicious, this medium bodied ale is all about the malts, but has enough hop bitterness to be balanced.

12 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 7/6/17, had 2/20/18.

Pours a dark cola color, somewhat opaque, with a flash of a head and some soapy cling. Aromas of medium roast malt, cocoa, coffee, light vanilla and molasses, some caramel and chocolate. The taste is more coffee forward, then malt, chocolate, light caramel, some vanilla, a light bitterness. Mostly smooth, a little dry, a good medium body, well carbonated.

This is enjoyable and drinks easy for the ABV. The aroma offers more variety, the flavor is more focused.

A nice dark looking stout. Very malty and chocolate-y smell, and delivers in taste. The one negative is that it lacks the full, foamy, creamy head and taste that I like in most stouts.

Look- light cola with a tan head
Smell- roasted malt, coffee, hints of chocolate
Taste- heavy roasted malts with some coffee bitterness. Some chocolate hints
Feel- light to medium bodied
Overall- Decent. I would classify the beer more as a brown ale than a stout. Very good and unique.

Drank from a can so I'm not sure about the look. Smells like chocolate covered strawberries

Look: Pours dark with a lovely tan foam on top. The head doesn't stay long, though.
Smell: Ah, rich and chocolaty. Even my wife, who doesn't like to drink beer, loves the smell of this stout.
Taste: Delicious. I love the taste. I frequently use it in cooking vegetable stews.
Feel: Not overly thick but has a nice body to it.
Overall: This is my standard go-to beer. I always have some in the fridge and use it for cooking and drinking. No one I've ever offered one of these to has ever declined a second! My overall favorite beer.
