Looks orange with a beige, sticky head.
Smell of caramel and candy sugar. A bit of apricot or peach, citrus. Faint smell of pine as well. Cut grass. Fresh. I'm expecting sweetness.
Taste is indeed pretty sweet, but there's a good deal of hop bitterness also.
This beer has a very quick and clean finish. It's almost light, but even at 7% the alcohol is well covered.

Overall it's a good product. Not as full flavoured or complex as some ipa's i've tasted, but it's a decent drink.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of May 2014. Purchased ages ago at the GBBF 2012 and subsequently stored in my garage. Although the BA listing describes it as a Belgian IPA, the label doesn't give much away so I will reserve judgement....

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A deep, hazy orange-amber hue with visible sediment and good carbonation. Produces a huge head of creamy off-white foam with good retention; this slowly subsides to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing. Aroma of fruity yeast esters with hints of grainy malt, husks, mild caramel, yeast esters, subtle spice, a twinge of piny hops and stewed leaves. Mild oxidation and a touch of alcohol in the background. Not too bad.

Tastes of fruity yeast esters and hops with a bitter finish. Notes of grainy caramel malt, yeast esters, mild spice, a hint of pine, stewed hops, faint husk and earthiness. A subtle booziness in the background along with a suggestion of oxidation. Well-attenuated, followed by a vaguely resinous bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with effervescent carbonation and good body. Slightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of stewed hops, earthiness and fruity yeast esters.

Well, it's alright but a bit hard to place. Some mild pine gives an indication that this might have been hoppier when fresh. Looks pretty good, while the aroma is yeasty and balanced. The flavour is less pleasing - yeasty and faintly hoppy but with hints of oxidation and off-notes. Nice body. OK, but I should probably have drunk this sooner. Nevermind; perhaps I can try it again in the future.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright hay color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of semi-sweet Belgian-style malt with some weird floral hoppy notes. Taste is also dominated by semi-sweet Belgian-style malt with some weird dominant hops notes with some fruity flavours and some weird herbal notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Not sure that herbal and lemony notes form the hops is a great addition to this beer.

Picked this up at the Brouwerij De Dochter van de Korenaar after an awesome brewery tour. Cloudy copper-amber pour with a one finger pure white head with nice retention and great lacing. Very pleasant and unique fruity nose with hints of caramel, butterscotch, bread and tangerine. The taste is unique as well, especially for the style. Great balance between the flowery hops and the sweet caramel malt. Hints of tangerines, white pepper, pine, and a touch of Brett. Very creamy yet tangy mouthfeel with a smooth, ever so slightly bitter finish. Another great beer from De Dochter!

Pours a cloudy, opaque amber, unfiltered, with a 2-finger head. Head thins quickly to form a ring a foam and leaves a bit of lacing. Smells of banana, apple, biscuit, coffee, citrus, mango, pineapple, with a boozy touch. Very malty. Tastes of banana and biscuit; caramel, chocolate, citrus, apple, mango. It's a bit boozy too, very slight bitterness, kinda sweet. Body is medium with light carbonation.

This is halfway between a Belgian IPA and a regular Belgian Pale Ale. Style aside however, it's simply a very enjoyable beer that goes down easily.

A Belgian IPA sounds good to me. The beer pours an orange color with a quick settling head.

Smell is not too strong. Faint hoppy smells with a nice, but reduced, flowery and fruity yeast. Maybe some coriander, or this must be the Chouffe strain, which produces these flavors.

Taste is nicely balanced. The bitterness is spot on and combines nicely with the light hoppy taste. The hops taste European and have a spicy and bit resiny taste. The yeast character is more pronounced than in the smell, but it's still mild. The fruity taste combines well with the beers hoppy taste.
Further down the glass, the bitterness develops into a bit more bitter, bit the balance remains perfect. A great brew, without being extreme or aiming at something American for that matter, this is a solid example of a Belgian inspired IPA.

Cloudy gold, white head with good lacing, yeasties at the bottom.

Smells bready with some sweet fruits, sweet sugar

Tastes of citrus hops. Sweet fruits, a bit of bitterness on the end. So balanced though. Citrus is the dominant flavor. some pepper.

Mid - low carbonation, mouthfeel of citrus bitterness lingers for a while

This is a great belgian IPA. Probably the best one I've had actually. I wasn't overly in love with the normal Noblesse, but this is perfect.

Poured from 22oz bottle into Orval chalice.

L-Semi-clear orange gold color, thick foamy head that disperses quickly leaving a thin white film.

S-Tropical fruit, mangos, apricot, slight hoppiness.

T-Initial sweetness, fruity hops, followed by grassy resin.

F-Slightly creamy, thinning on the tongue, leaving a residue of hop oils.

Well balanced between flavors and hop punch with a unique mouth feel. This falls in a spot between a Belgian Golden Ale and an IPA, a pleasant sipper.

22oz bottle (best before 11/2012) into a tulip.

A bit of a gusher uopon popping the cap... Pours a slightly hazy golden-amber w/ a rich fluffy creamy head, ample carbonation.

Aroma is spicy Belgian yeast, tropical fruity sweet caramel malt, butterscotch.

Taste follows nose: sweet candi sugar, caramel, butterscotch, mandarin orange, spice, & a hint of yeasty funk.

Mouthfeel is creamy but also seems a little flat and dull.

Overall an interesting, pretty complex beer that I enjoyed despite a few setbacks.

22.4 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 5/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, pear, apple, pepper, pine, light caramel, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light-moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, pear, apple, pepper, pine, light caramel, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate piney bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, pear, apple, pepper, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
