Yellow with a bit of brown tint, and moderate white head. Not much lacing. Nose gave a big skunky blast at first, but this subsided and became dominated by the expected pilsener floral hops. Taste was also pretty much what would be expected of a typical Czech pilsener. Floral hops with a slight thin bitterness over lean malt. Refreshing if not exceptional.

Yellow pour, head forms and vanishes in equal quickness. Aroma was lemon noble hop vibe, nothing too heavy or skunky here.

Taste was a highly carbonated lager yeast, mild noble hop mouthfeel, lemon turned to earthy. Better than average for a domestic pilsner, prolly around average for Euro.

Poured from the bottle into a pokal like glass.

Crystal clear body, with what can only be described as a very fine brass copper color, very light pale like amber with nice slow rising carbonation. Head manages barely half a finger on the pour, and settles to a fine puck and simple small but thin collar.

Very dry sensing grain, a bit of caramel like powder sensations as well, getting into flour like aromas. Sharp and quite crisp as well to match a lot of the toasty and crackery like sensations.

The dryness continues with a surprising balance. Crisp and extremely bone dry flavors. Caramel and huge brown dry bread crust, mixing with just a little bit of malt possible corn like (possibly) sweetness. Peppery and very dry hop feeling finish as well, with muted and dried out flavors.

It's a neat take on a sort of amber czech lager, with a very interesting bone dryness.

Pours a clear honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, corn flake, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with corn flake, grass, and cracker flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Serving type: bottle.

Classic example of a Czech/Bohemian Pilsener. Beautiful in the glass, Noble Hop aroma for days, classic dry finish; an all around well-crafted brew

I used to drink this quite a bit in my pre micro days, as the 16oz bottles are a staple of many supermarkets nearby; pretty cheap too. I had it tonight for old times sake and chose to review.
Pours a dark golden, nearly amber color with a nice creamy film that leaves plenty of sudsy lacing.
The aroma has grassy hops, sweet cereal grain and light bread and biscuit.
The flavor seems rather clean at first with a thin and watery body. However, soon it settles into a malt forward sweetness that is relatively pleasant. I also wonder if there are some corn adjuncts. Throughout it all, there is but the slightest touch of grassy hops; I would have liked to see more of this.
Overall a simple and refreshing Lager. It didn't blow me away by any means but I wouldn't mind having it from time to time as a thirst quencher.
