I used to drink this quite a bit in my pre micro days, as the 16oz bottles are a staple of many supermarkets nearby; pretty cheap too. I had it tonight for old times sake and chose to review.
Pours a dark golden, nearly amber color with a nice creamy film that leaves plenty of sudsy lacing.
The aroma has grassy hops, sweet cereal grain and light bread and biscuit.
The flavor seems rather clean at first with a thin and watery body. However, soon it settles into a malt forward sweetness that is relatively pleasant. I also wonder if there are some corn adjuncts. Throughout it all, there is but the slightest touch of grassy hops; I would have liked to see more of this.
Overall a simple and refreshing Lager. It didn't blow me away by any means but I wouldn't mind having it from time to time as a thirst quencher.

Rebel Beer has a very thick, overflowing, slightly off-white head, a deep golden, bubbly, mostly clear appearance, with larger and smaller tan chunks suspended top to bottom, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of medium-toasted malt, slight citrus, and grassy hops. Taste is of sweet & sour, medium-toasted malts, grassy hops, and bread dough. The mouthfeel is light to medium, and Rebel Beer finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing.
