Poured all 1 PT .6 FL OZ into a big, frosty mug.
Silky-smooth smokey oatmeal and sporadically strong yet watery chocolate, with a crisp coffee mid to aftertaste.
If followed by a half pint of Coffee Stout or perhaps a pint of Obsidian Stout, which has similar characteristics, this brew would serve as a satisfying 'launching pad'
Potential.

Black in the middle brown to the edge, brown of a lighter shade for the head 2/5". Lots of roastiness and bitterness in the aroma and taste.
Oatmeal smooths out the mouthfeel to where you don't get a substantial amount of chocolate, brown malt notes or coffee therefrom, its just coming through like a lot of heavily roasted 2 row and oats straight up.
Pulls down a hint of smoke. Its affordable unlike most bomber format beers. Average stuff overall but recommended if you like hearty smooth oatmeal adjunct otherwise less stouts.

Pours a very dark brown with a huge, fluffy tan head that stays for several minutes. Aroma is mostly bitter chocolate and some roasted notes. Taste is very similar, lots of bitter dark chocolate, with the faintest hint of brown sugar. Not as much oatmeal flavor as I would like. Feel is very thin with lots of carbonation. Would have liked it a little creamier. Decent beer, but nothing to write home about. The best thing this has going for it is the bitter chocolate, and is not the usual sugar bomb that stouts are turning into these days.
