Had Betty IPA at the Hangar 24 Taproom, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on draft into tumbler.
Pours orange-gold with clarity, and 1-finger creamy off-white head, with good retention, leaving nice Belgian lace down the glass. Aroma of grassy hops off the pour, and then some floral aromas. Begins smooth and creamy, then some fruit, then nice hop bite in finish.
Solid West Coast IPA, a little short on fruit.

I got a bottle of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a slightly hazy copper with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle fruit and pine notes. The taste was leaned slightly bitter....started with citrus presence then a slight pine in the middle....but then it turned acidic. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is an ok beer.

From a beer of the month club. Poured with a floofy 1" (ish) white foam head with a somewhat hazy peach-orange body. Fresh hop scents abound on the nose: citrus, a splash of pine, a bit of spice, and some sweet malts (although the malts are quite down the ladder). Taste is one of the more interesting IPAs I've had in a while: the malty caramel backbone is present throughout the sip but the hop flavors come through in waves: citrus, pine, stone fruit, spicy zing, back to citrus. The feel is on the medium side with a somewhat hoppy aftertaste (where the malts finally give up). An enjoyable offering, especially due to that varied taste.

Bitter for the sake of bitterness. Not worth the calories.

Having this beer on-tap at My Thai restaurant in Indian Wells, CA with my dad. Served in a standard pint glass, this beer is a clear, medium golden color with a nice white head that’s about an inch thick thick when first drawn and served. Settles eventually to a thick white ring lining the inside of the glass along with some small cluster swirls of surface foam follows by very nice lacing. Aromas of some bready malts with a bit of caramel sweetness and then some piney, earthy, floral hops. Of course, the flavor profile is quite similar, with some bready malts with a bit of caramel sweetness and then some piney, earthy, floral hops that have a bitterness that’s slightly dank and resinous. A very good flavor profile all around. Has a crisp, smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a nice, hoppy aftertaste.

This is one of the most “grapefruit”/stone fruit centric IPAs I have ever known and loved. It smells fanstastic! Orange and lemon peel and zest with grapefruit and so on...
Taste doesn’t disappoint and follows suit. Dry finish. Classic West Coast...dry on the back end and loads of hop residue without being harsh or overly oily.
Solid and wish it was more readily available in cans for the beach and the poolside!
Update: more resinous and piney than I remember. Also a bit more staid and classic.

Clear golden color with off- white head. Aroma has resiny hops and bitter orange rind with a toasted malt background. Taste is bitter and resiny with some orange rind notes and slightly grainy malt background. Really classic, west coast style IPA.

Wife bought a bomber bottle from Albertsons. Poured into a glass and ........yikes.....
Since when are they bottling sanitizer? Nasty bright sour and twingee...poured it down the drain.
Bad bottle won't try this brand again.

A malty, hazy, hoppy American IPA. Pours a dark amber hue, hazy. Malt-forward IPA with great citrusy, tropical notes. Piney on the back end.

Pours a clear orange with some small floaters and a white head. Smells of citrus, hops, tropical fruits, and light maltiness. Tastes of papaya, mango, orange zest, pine, and fresh hops. Medium in body and medium-high carbonation. Overall a delicious IPA.

12oz bottle, undated but known to be fresh, poured into a 14oz snifter glass. Enjoyed on 4.4.17, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a dark copper color, orange hues with a mild chill haze and a foamy white head, good retention and lace. The aroma is pleasant, piney hops, spicy citrus peel with some resinous sappy qualities, hop spice with strong caramel and biscuity malt. The flavors follow well, piney bitter hops, earthy, leafy and green with some citrus juice, spicy peel, a touch of spicy hop oil, lingering grapefruit against a backbone of assertively sweet and sticky malts. The mouthfeel is good, coats nicely with a medium body, smooth texture, ample carbonation with a dry and crisp finish.
Verdict: A good example of a West Coast IPA from Hangar 24. Showcases the "c" hops fairly well with ample bitterness, perhaps just not quite as well developed as I'd like and the malt profile is a bit on the heavy side.

It is a pretty enjoyable IPA--there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. But it is a tough category with stiff competition and I don't think this one quite measures up. There are plenty of hops with moderate bitterness and a pretty average flavor profile, mostly grapefruit and pine and some tropicals coming through. Some malt to balance but not much. Feel is medium bodied, medium carbonation. Finishes pretty dry.
Hopheads won't quite be satisifed. On the other hand, people who value "balance" may find it too hoppy without enough malt to smooth it out.
