Poured from the bottle into my Bruery Tulip..

Poured a very light orange/yellowish hazy color with a pretty thick white head that dissapeared quickly.

Smell is fairly mild, some belgian yeasts can be detected, lemons, wheat.

Taste is very light and refreshing - definetely some lemon/orange notes. Backed with a bit of belgian spice from the yeast. Wish there was just a bit more, but overall pretty good.

Mouthfeel is carbonated and light - very refreshing!

Didn't know what to expect for this one, but am pleasantly suprised! Taste is very refreshing, a perfect session beer for a warm spring/summer day.

Appearance - Pours a semi-hazy golden orange color with a white, near 2 finger head. Good retention, resulting in a thin broken layer of suds across the surface. Fair lacing with little stick.

Smell - Notes of citrus, spice, banana and a bready undertone.

Taste - Follows the nose: citrus notes at the forefront, while lesser clove spice and touches of wheat and banana round it out. Lightly toasted bread. Faint caramel. Finishes with a mild orange peel bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium in body wih fair to lively carbonation. Smooth; touches of buttery diacetyl. Finishes easy.

Overall - Interesting brew. I'd call it a pale ale / hefeweizen hybrid, at least in terms of flavor. Nice balance. Unique. The best Hangar 24 offering I've had to date. It's one I'll have to pick up when it's first released next spring.

A hoppy wheat beer, thanks to Tim Johnson for this Growlin' at the Moon bottle.

A: The ale is pale and golden, bright and cheerily appropriate for a spring beer. A thin white head, no more than a band really, sits atop the beer.

S: The nose is strong, hoppier than I was expecting. The bitterness, citrusy, is more than a match for the wheat and biscuit base. That strength is a big draw, making the ale much more appealing, much bigger.

T: The strength of nose, the booze in particular, isn't as upfront here. A spicy, near-Belgian aspect runs through the ale, powering the hops and leading nicely into the wheat finish. The hops, strongest mid-sip, have a vibrant citrus/pine bite. The Belgian aspect, thanks yeast strain, has a fruitiness that pairs nicely with the hops. The lightness gives the beer a lawnmower feel but the strong hops give it street cred.

M: Hoppy, wheaty, and light. The result is plenty of flavor with a spry airyness. Another good experience with Hangar 24.

Pours a hazy golden color with a pillowy white head that leaves chunks of lacing.

Smells of orange notes with some floral undertones.

Tastes of the citrus notes with some underlying wheat and floral hops. Orange zest notes lead off before a bit of pale malt adds some sweetness and bread. Wheat adds in with a bit of a sharp note. Floral hops come towards the end along with a bit of spice. Finishes with a slightly sharp citric note.

Mouthfeel is medium with a slightly assertive amount of carbonation.

Overall, I find myself liking this more with each sip. This is a good take on a usually lifeless style that reaches out to those who like hops.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

L: hazy golden in color with a fluffy white head that never really goes away. Nice looking beer

S: malted wheat with citrus hops. Notes of lemon peel. Good hoppy wheat aroma.

T: soft, subtly sweet malted wheat nicely balanced by lemony hops. Grapefruit and lemon peel bitterness. Bright and flavorful. Well done

M: full mouthfeel, slightly dry finish.

O: a good hoppy wheat ale. This one was expertly paired with an 82°F February afternoon in Tucson whilst grilling some carne asada tacos, thinking of the poor bastards back home shoveling. Who said it's too early for spring beer?!

Thanks to Orthodoxkardia for this extra.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy burnt orange with a 1/2 inch of head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is floral hops and tangerine with some wheat, banana and cloves. Tangy. The taste is tangerine, orange peel, banana, and cloves. Some light spicy wheat followed by some floral hops. Finishes with some orange peel, banana and light spices. Lightly carbonated with a body on the lighter side. Almost tastes like a happier version of a Hefeweizen. Overall, a solid warm weather beer.

The pour is a cloudy golden orange color with a solid white head. A nice hoppiness to it, highly floral, with a light spiciness. Good wheat and bread notes, fairly crisp on the nose. Just a hint of grass. The flavor has a nice touch of citrus along with the more floral and spicy notes. Sweet bread and wheat flavors and a touch of yeast.

Poured from bottle into Bruery tulip. Appearance is a hazy orange with hues of yellow. Decent pour yields a good head which dies to a nice ring around the glass with tiny islands floating in the middle.

Smells really good. Some spicy, ester notes followed by hop and wheat goodness

Taste is certainly intriguing. You can tell it's a wheat beer. Has an immediately refreshing taste. Lemon, some coriander. Hops are mellow but noticable.

Mouthfeel is great. I could drink a few of these.

Overall this is a really good beer and very sessionable. Another win for Hangar 24
