This is my favorite beer right now. Perfectly balanced with amazing head and a beautiful golden color. One of the foamiest beers you will find. Make sure to swirl the last bit in the can to not let any of the unfiltered goodness go to waste.

Palate Contaminants: none

Nice translucent amber glow. Tons of very fine head.

Mellow malt on the nose, with a slight bit of lemon in the background. Very pleasant, but not a lot of intensity.

Taste is less sweet than the nose suggests. Main grain seems to be closer to rye, and that lemon is still there. There's even a bit more nondescript bitter citrus. In fact, there's moderate bitterness throughout. I wonder what it was like a few months ago, but what's there is still pretty nice.

Carbonation is very fine and pretty well integrated. It takes a lot of swishing to get any prickliness. By ABV, it feels like it should be more than a fiver. Aftertaste has decreasing bitterness, and the grain flavor shifts more toward wheat.

A: Pours bright hazy yellow/gold with some dense white foamy head that leaves a thin collar after a while. Gorgeous.
S: Smell is delicate, driven by cereals but with a very prominent floral scent and light citrus notes. Some honey character lingering. Perfect smell for a summer beer.
T: Taste follows with grain, malt, floral honey and a long lasting hoppy finish. Slightly bitter in the finish for the style but with a great balance.
M: Almost perfect mouthfeel, good carb, very crisp and smooth on the palate. Dry finish that constantly calls for the next sip.
O: Very very enjoyable pilsner. Highly drinkable, full of flavor but that's never too much. Oh sh*t! My glass is already empty! I need more!

This one pours a clear light orange color, with a large fluffy head, and lots of lacing.

This smells quite flowery and very grassy, with some biscuity malt, and a slightly mineral aroma.

This is honestly great. It's possibly a bit hoppier than a typical traditional pilsner, but the firm bitterness works well here. There's some slight baked bread/biscuity malt character, and a touch of minerality on the finish. There's a slight fruitiness from either the hops or the yeast.

This is light bodied, unbelievably crisp, and super clean, with a great level of drinkable.

This is definitely a stand out American-ized pilsner. This is excellent, I wish I had more than one can.

For an unfiltered beer, it sure is pretty, maybe not quite as sparkling as a regular filtered brew. A swirl of the final third of the can brings up a trace of sediment. Even a vigorous pour elicits only a skim coat of a head and lacing. Aroma is biscuits and flowers, like from a vase across the room. Very enjoyable taste, excellent mouthfeel and clean finish. Worth seeking out. We found it in 16 oz cans.

Clear yellow brew with an abundance of white foam in the big tumbler. Very fragrant with an odd perfumey smell, like a Kölsch. It reminds me of a Blonde Ale with the substantial mouthfeel, but the astringent finish is something else again. Spicy hops but harsh and mineral.

Faintly sweet with a corn flavor. The bitterness keeps on pushing. Overall this is a well made and interesting variation on the Pilsner style, but too bitter to be very drinkable. From the 16 oz can purchased at a beer store up north.

Exceptional pislner, perhaps best thought of as a kellerpils, considering it's unfiltered nature. The prevailing experience while having a Gloria! is the richness and depth of character purveyed by this pilsner. There's a classic, spicy Saaz-like hop note (Willamette, one assumes), with a perfect compliment of Bavarian Pils fermentation character. The malt is crisp, yet complex and flavorful. This is a world-class beer. 4 in look due to haze.

Bought on a whim( it was next to the Evil Twin stouts I had come for). I have not heard of this brewery (I live in Portland Metro), but I love a well done pilsner. Poured it into my Fuller's ESB mug, not as significant head as others may have reported. Aroma is mild but spot on as far as I'm concerned. Oh, the bready, spicy hop flavor. I've been missing this all winter. What a find(I take a swig and hold it in my mouth)! Pretty close to perfect for me. Hope it's still here come Summer!

For a US made German style Pilsner, Block 15 nailed this one... almost.

It pours a perfect shade of dark straw, a mild unfiltered look to it, with a lovely and frothy white head. There is some lacing, but not sheets of it.

I'm reminded of a Czech style Pilsner. Very spicy and grassy hops versus soft and floral. There is a freshly baked bread and cracked grain aroma that well compliment.

The flavor follows. A mildly sweet dough, freshly and lightly toasted bread, spicy hops. Very nice.

This is very well balanced. Not nearly as sweet as the German Pilsners I've come across, but a pleasant sweetness is there behind and earthy and spicy bitterness. Perfect carbonation lends a soft and foamy feel.

This is an outstanding Pilsner. Again, I feel it's more rooted towards a Czech style from beginning to end, but that is quite all right with me. Will definitely be grabbing more soon. Prost!

Poured from a 1 pint can.
A really nice Pilsner the Block 15 people know what they are doing.
Pretty clear for a unfiltered beer it has just a slight haze to it.
Has that nice pilsner taste. If you see it buy it.

From the pounder can into a pilsner glass results in a slightly hazy (says unfiltered right on the can) body topped by a mountanous fluffy white head that recedes into craggy lumps, loads of lacing ring the glass but the body looks still. Hmmn, not what I'm used to in a pilsner but maybe that's what they were going for.
Aroma is spot on , cracker/bread with a hint of spicy hop, very similar to Wehinstephin and thats not a bad thing at all
Taste is, WOW. Nailed it, this is what I like about a very fine Pilsner, nothing gets in the way of the whole, a masterpiece for the balance, no off flavors detected, very clean and crisp.
A little too soft on the palette which I subscribe to being unfiltered.
Buy it when you see it.

Picked up a pint can from the offshoot brewery store front for $2.17. No freshness date visible.

Beer poured golden with a nice white head on the initial pour.

Nose has hints of Pils malt and Noble Euro hops.

Taste is spot on for a Bohemian pils. Crisp malts meet the crisp Saaz hop variety that provide a classic Pils taste.

Mouthfeel is light and refreshing with a classic crisp and clean finish.

Overall an awesome rendition of the Pils style. Wish i had access to this year round as this would be a great tailgate brew!

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, light golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly grainy biscuit malt, grassy and citrus hops, a hint of lemon. Flavor follows, with biscuit malt with a note of husky grain, traditional grassy, lightly citrus hops and light lemon citrus. Finishes with an interesting sharp graininess and peppery hop bitterness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. The color was less hazy than I expected for an unfiltered beer, but true to style. The base flavor is fairly traditional German style pilsner, but the finish is quite robust, both in malt and hops, with an unusual, but fitting peppery bitterness that seems to be coming both from malt grains and the hops. Interesting and flavorful.

Straw colored, slightly cloudy. Bubbly, white head with solid retention & streaky lacing. Aroma is light floral, biscuit malt, and a hint of yeast. The flavor is similar, with a light hint of lemon citrus in the hops aftertaste. Crisp, with a dry finish. A very good beer overall, especially for summertime.

64 oz growler from "b2" tap house in Salem OR $6 ( on sale) Golden yellow coloured beer with a large rocky ,frothy pure white head. Nice biscuity malt aroma..some hint of peppery/grassy hop. Very balanced pilsner here..the hops are there but well balanced by the malts, Its so well balanced i fear it loses a bit and goes down like Becks which in my opinion is NOT a bad beer. Good smooth and loose mouth feel. A good pilsner reminds me of Becks and Bitburger.

From a fresh can. This is what an American pilsner could be. Great hop presence without veering remotely into IPL territory. Fresh baked bread and yeast comes out as it warms a touch. Body never gets flabby, even with a bit of temperature.

On tap at Orenco Taphouse.

A clear straw yellow with a dense, off white head with good retention and really nice lacing, this looks glorious. The nose is glorious too, with all the hallmarks of an excellent unfiltered pilsner. Bready, doughy, snappy, mildly yeast with a touch of butter, a week rounded hop nose with lemon, earth and a little mint. Similar on the palate with a crisp, snappy bitterness with oily lemon and earth pairing really well with a light cracker and doughy malt character. Light in body but with a nice fullness, this beer is crisp and moderately carbonated, giving a nice finish. Highly recommended, probably my favorite Block 15 beer yet.
