On tap in snifter at Saraveza on 3/9/11

Dark; looks pretty close to black. One half finger cap of foam. Swirling helps retention but it doesn't last. Modest lace.

Raspberry is at the fore of the aroma but it isn't overpowering. Almost candy-like in the context of the whole. Roasted coffee and grains round it out.

As for taste - imagine eating a raspberry cream-filled chocolate candy while gnawing on coffee beans at the same time. Kinda weird. Some roast, too.

Basically full bodied and a tad grainy. High carbonation is a bit distracting. Finishes much like it tastes.

Interesting beer. Amusing enough but I wouldn't be inclined to drink it often.
