Mid sized bottle (16.9 ounces), purchased at the source in Bay Shore.

Pours super light amber/golden and quite clear. Sports a tiny bubble, near shite head, small in size, leaving a moderate collar and fine strands of lace.

Mild tropical fruity nose with a back note of spicy hops.

Delicate IPA with up front hopping and a nice smooth biscuity malt note in counter-balance. Dominant hop quality is more Amarillo driven tropical fruits with grapefruit, pineapple and a hint of lime in control. Nicely done, quite dry and satisfying.

I'll look to pick up more of this one during my next voyage out the Island.

From a bomber purchased at the brewery. I love the directions to Robert Moses Field 5 from the brewery listed on the label.

Pours a golden straw color with honey highlights. Nice dense puffy cream colored head. Settles into a light cap with a small wall of lacing.

Substantial citrus aroma, mainly grapefruit with a touch of orange. Light pine and grass towards the end.

The taste is of a lightly bready malt. The hop flavor is of grapefruit and grapefruit rind. Good amount of pine in the finish. Peppery. Good balance between the malt and hops with the hops being more aggressive.

The feel is moderate with semi soft carbonation. Light sweetness with drying bitterness. A tad hefty for a straight AIPA.

A very well made IPA. Good hop profile and good balance. A winner and a beer that they should offer year round.

On draft at The Lark, East Northport, NY.

Poured a bright brassy hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was Goid retention and lacing.

The smell featured balmy piney and tropical hops and a round sweetness.

The taste consisted of a resinous array of pine and apricot with a heavy pale malt and moderate sweetness.

The mouthfeel was toward the fuller side of the style with a pleasant chewiness.

Overall a tasty brawny IPA.

Picked up this beer from Syosset Beverage, growler-fill. Chose it b/c we go to Field 5 when we go to Jones Beach, which is not too infrequently!
Good head on pour, dissipated quickly, w/ lacing on glass. Lovely gold color. Crisp hoppiness, I also get cut grass, in a good way. Better than I expected.

The aroma offers juicy grapefruit citrus and some sweet caramel.

The flavor follows with pine, that juicy grapefruit, a caramel sweetness and breadiness with a medium plus bitterness.

A well made American IPA.

Got in a BIF from beerloserLI. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no canning date. Pours fairly crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light honey, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light honey, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Good amount of piney/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, pine, light honey, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately sticky/resinous mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
