Our infamous Black Tuesday stout is named in honor of the great stock market crash of 1929. So Happens It’s Tuesday is similarly dark and delicious, but in a more affable format, reminding us that there is always a bit of good to be found within the bad. Things happen, life goes on. This beer can be enjoyed in all of those moments and seasons.

Pours black with thing sized tan head that falls fairly quick with some light lace.
Aroma is nice smooth big roasted notes chocolate and bourbon barrel notes in the front. Vanilla, oak, dark fruits hidden underneath.
Taste follows the nose, big roasted notes sweet chocolate surrounding bourbon notes upfront. Charred oak, vanilla, dark fruits, cherry hints mingled in the mix. Finish is sweet but also has a tart char hint to it also.
Mouthfeel is big but not chewy as you would think. Carbonation is smooth though.
Overall an enjoyable big ass stout.

So Happens It's Tuesday pours black, with a small, but long-lasting, tan head. The aroma is strong, with strong rye whiskey notes. The flavor is huge on rye whiskey flavors, spicy, sharp, and strong. Good feel. Overall, a rye whiskey lovers beer.

A 750ml bottle, with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a thin tanned head that had decent retention but settled to a ring around the glass while leaving some spotty lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, oak, bourbon, with notes of prunes and other dark fruits.
Taste: As you’d expect from the aroma, lightly sweet, chocolate, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, oak, dark fruit, prunes.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium to full bodied, with low carbonation.
Overall: It’s well balanced and dangerously drinkable at 14.6% ABV. As temperatures drop again, this was an enjoyable sipper that provides a comfortable warming feeling.

5oz draft pour. pitch black. lots of dark fruit on the nose and taste. more bourbon barrel as it warms with a hint of chocolate in the finish on the taste. medium-full, fairly chewy mouthfeel. pretty tasty barrel-aged imperial stout. just a little heavy on the dark fruits for me.

Poured cool to a tulip glass. Dark chestnut brown with a bubbly mocha head. High ABV burns the head to a memory. Nose is stone fruit with some leather and wood. Flavor is quite complex for a non-adjunct beer. Very surprised at the heavy cherry presence. Nice amount of charred barrel wood cutting both the tartness and sweetness. The malt base is toward the light side, almost porter or brown ale ish, or at least seems that way amidst the stone fruit and wood traits. Mouthfeel is medium and crisp. Alcohol has slight bite up front, and a decent warming effect, good as I sit on the back porch at 31 degrees.
As it warms more, there is a slight vanilla presence, but not quite. I would liken it to that of a horehound candy. Interesting.

Pint can poured slowly into a snifter. Almost zero foam, just pitch black nectar.
Smell is bourbon, vanilla, dark stone fruit, almost prune, chocolate.
Taste matches.,. the chocolate moves forward dryly, barrel punch right in the mouth, dark stone fruit, vanilla gets in the way a little bit and seems to push the sweetness forward.
Feel is low carbonation, thick but not syrup, smooth, good ABV bite.
Overall, nice big ole sipping Stout perfect with a mild cigar.

The body pours a very dark brown with modest tan head. Little lacing throughout.
The aroma is bourbon up front with a bit of vanilla (but mostly bourbon. Light carbonation seems just right. Mouthfeel is good but not heavy. Very inviting.
Flavor follows nose and perhaps gets even more bourbon flavored. Despite the high ABV, there is no significant heat. Well masked power. The light malty char and chocolate notes are delightful compliments to the bourbon. The combination makes this very drinkable. Dangerously drinkable.

Pours a deep black with minimal head and lacing.
The smell is dark fruit, vanilla, bourbon, and dark chocolate.
The taste is dark fruit, bitter chocolate, vanilla and bourbon with leather and char on the finish.
The mouthfeel is smooth if a bit thinner than expected. Still very nice.
Overall, great flavors and the alcohol is hidden surprisingly well. Nice, big beer.

It’s a cool, sunny Tuesday outside but in my St Bernardus chalice it’s a warm, pitch black night with quickly dispersing tan clouds. Amit’s aroma is chocolate, bourbon & sweet toasty malt. It’s sweet flavor consists of:: dark chocolate with a strong bourbon flavor, then comes the stout flavors of roasted malt, raisins & plum. Mouthfeel is thick & silky smooth will plenty of alcohol to make up for its modest carbonation. Based on the famous Black Tuesday, that I have yet to try, this is truly a great beer.

The sweet distinct smell of bourbon is followed by the rich expected scent of stout coffee.
It has an even mix of bold, rich, bitter coffee and sweet woody bourbon.
It has a medium mouthfeel but it's thin for a stout with just a little carbonation. The finish is sweet with an alcoholic burn and fades into a long drawn out bitterness.
There's nothing that stands out about this bourbon barrel aged stout but it's just really good on every detail. I give it a 5.1 out of 6.
