If you're looking for a beer that tastes like grandma's cooking, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a beer that is jam-packed with nostalgia, you've come to the right place. Ruebarb is an oak-aged sour blonde ale with red raspberries and rhubarb. Bright berry kernels break and give way to a tart, jammy sweet flavor. Mildly bitter herbal and floral notes accompany the raspberry-rhubarb combo as it alternates between sweet and sour. Beer and dessert have never tasted better together.

750 cc, bottled 2020, opened 9/2023
Copper with red hues and a white one finger head. Nose is classic terreux funk with sour berries. Taste opens with strawberry and rhubarb that folds into a lactic bite and ends with a sugary syrup. Body is light with similar carbonation but not thin. Ends with a lingering pucker of sour raspberries and some light tannins. Overall another nice sour, but missing some complexity.

Pours a pink-hued orange with a big 3" frothy head that falls away with no lacing. Nose is rhubarb, raspberry juice, and oak, all of which blend seamlessly together. It's rhubarb jam with the sweeter, treacly notes replaced with subtle wood muskiness. Taste is nicely tart and reminiscent of rhubarb, but lacks all that much in the way of raspberry flavor apart from its tartness. Lots of oak is prominent throughout and only dissipates in the finish, which makes it a bit distracting overall. Mouthfeel is smooth with refreshing carbonation. Overall, a really great beer.

2015 bottle dated 9/30/15 and consumed in early August 2021. This is odd but surprisingly delicious. Super tart and jammy with lots of fresh fruit, oaky barrel, and funky yeast qualities. A light and easy drinking sour with flavor that punches above its weight. Well done!

Had this one August 7, 2016. Expectations were high, New Glarus's strawberry rhubarb is just phenomenal stuff, and then Bruery did so good with their pie beer Windowsill.
While its a blonde ale, it takes on a colored appearance of pinkish red appearance after the raspberry and rhubarb additions do their thing. 1/4" off white lighter pink head. Aroma of raspberries most, then general lemon and cranberry sour like notes.
Taste is enjoyable. Its not New Glarus greatness, but its pretty good. The sourness and acidity are not too pronounced, prolly sitting in the 6 on a 10 pt scale range, which is actually kinda conservative for a Bruery Terreux product. The rhubarb is subtle. For all the jammy descriptors, both in terms of commercial tug job and in reviews, I didn't think it was sweet at all. Well carbonated, just let it chill for a few minutes it drinks better.
I think they released this again in 2020 and I bought another bottle of it because its worthy enough to be a repeat.

2015 vintage
L - Nice looking pink body with a pink two finger head. Nice much retention or lacing to the head.
S - Mild earth and funk with some jammy raspberries and rhubarb. Not as dominate or in your face as I was hoping.
T - Acidic tartness, raspberry puree, oak and sweetness on the end.
F - Light bodied and medium carbonation. It has a dry ending.
O - Nice balance of tartness and berries.
