May 21st, 2016 - Aptly named, the Share This is being shared generously at a beautiful outdoors beer festival, dark and inky in the official tasting glass. Coffee is most pronounced on the nose...*and* the taste. More bitter than sweet, it has a rich, luxurious coffee flavor, and an obscured booziness. A nice, afternoon pick-me-up.

Smells surprisingly smokey with a French roast aroma. Flavor reflects the aroma, with an incredibly smooth stout body. Incredible beer.
And yes, I did share the bottle!

Bottled 4/22/16; drank 6/15/16 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice dark tan head; strong lace.
Medium roast coffee bean, vanilla & mild milk chocolate notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.
Medium roast coffee bean, soft vanilla & mild milk chocolate flavors up front; dry booze heat notes emerged as this warmed.
A touch too muted for the style but pleasant; good, not great.

750ml bottle. Stamped bottled on date is '05/03/16'. Mostra coffee.
Very dark brown colored body with medium brown back lit edge. Two fingers of light tan head, sticks around as a thick cap. Leaves behind an interrupted wall of lacing.
Aroma still expresses lots of coffee, with roasted dark malts. Hints of chocolate and alcohol vapors.
Taste is led by the coffee, and joined by the dark roasted malts. The malts stay in the chocolate arena. There is no dark fruit or vanilla. This beer stays the course with a solid stout heavily accented by the coffee.
Thicker mouth feel, with some mouth coating. Good carbonation. Expresses dry in the end.
This is a stout that allows the coffee to express strongly, but there is little else to detract from this main focus. There is very little bitterness, as the coffee is smooth and a little sweet.

A very coffee forward stout, if you like that style. It almost reminds me of an iced coffee with a slightly less coffee bitterness/harshness. Of course at 11.9% ABV you get a kick of booze on the back end but it isn't overpowering as other imperial stouts have been.

Pours jet black with a brown creamy head. Pretty high carbonation with a quickly dissipating head. Enjoyed at cellar temp in a tulip glass. Smell is rich with notes of coffee (duh), toffee and caramel. Taste is of toffee, smoke and coffee. I think the smoke really stands out. Maybe a little too forward? This beer has 11% alcohol and you can certainly taste it in the finish. Not overpowering but you can definitely tell this is a heavy hitter. For a brew with such punch it's pretty darn well put together. Like Kate Upton.

Served in a red wine glass from 750ml bomber.
Appearance: Semi thin body with a dark tan head rising roughly one finger's length after a hard pour.
Smell: Deep brown sugar scent with hints of light chocolate and vanilla bean. Light light scent which barely hovers the nostrils. The complexity alone is worth looking at.
Taste: Sweet vanilla and hints of chocolate but the molasses get to you very quickly after one sip. Almost over powering the beer. A light sweet tangerine feel but comes off subtle.
Mouth: Medium carbonatkon and full body. Sticky finish with a fudge cake like finish.
Overall: Awesome brew. Has slight tweaking to the beer but worth grabbing if you see it on a shelf. Enjoy with love...Salud!
