This limited release barrel-aged sour ale features over 2,300 lbs. of stonefruit from our friends at Masumoto Family Farm. After hand-cutting the juicy, ripe fruit with care at Bruery Terreux, we split a portion of our oak-aged sour blonde ale into two components: one to age a combination of three varietals of peaches (Flavorcrest, Spring Lady and Suncrest); the other to age a combination of four varietals of nectarines (Le Grand, Rose Diamond, Spring Bright and Summer Grand). After both components aged with the fruit and underwent a secondary fermentation from the additions, we blended them back together to achieve the ideal tangy flavor (and a satisfying, fuzzy feeling). Grab a glass and pull up a chair - we present to you Room for More.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a clear light gold beer which is topped by a dense and slightly rocky half finger of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of juicy peaches and nectartines with a hint of sourness along with a touch of oak
T: Taste is juicy nectarines and peaches, bright and clean sourness, slight funk, and some nice oak. On the swallow there's more nectarines, peaches, sourness, oak, and slight funk as the sour nectarine and peach flavor lingers the longest.
M: This beer has a moderate amount of body with a slightly syrupy feel on the palate. Carbonation is somewhat low but it is still effervescent while the acidity ensures that this beer has a drying finish.
O: Simply outstanding. Great flavors and a massive amount of real fruit flavors that make this one a great summer sipper. Not the most complex thing out there but still well crafted and does exactly what they set out for the beer to do. I wish this one was a regular offering.

I first had this when I brought it out to Nick U's backyard during my trip out to Summerfest 2017. I've had it about a half dozen times since. Summary: Its a banger.

Pours a brass and light amber color that is amazing with its clarity. All those nectarines and peaches, man Bruery must have a great centrifuge going for it. 1/3" white head. Aroma kicks a tart nectarine and peach bouquet. Can't smell wood or brett though. Just juicy stone fruit sourness, as if that is a bad or lacking thing.

Taste is pretty heavenly. Similar to the aroma, there is a greater proportion of nectarine impact than peach, but its not massively out of what, I dunno, 60/40 split seems about right. Its juicy, but middle of the road sour and acidity. Its light bodied and massively crushable. There is no apricot here, but I would totally understand that impression. One of the other cool things about this beer is how well it ages. Its like its continually stuck in time, even with a few years on it.

Pours a decent foamy frothy head with med retention, fair lacing, crystal clear honey orange color

Nose brings loads of juicy apricot and some citrus, peachy stone fruit, little tart and mild funk, buttery oak, fruit pectin, little tart and barnyard funk

Taste brings tons of juicy stone fruit, very peachy, tangerine, apricot, generic stone fruit and little tart funky, mild barnyard funk with bright acidity, like citrus tangerine acidity, mild buttery oak and a little white wine vinous notes, juicy tangy fruit with fair tartness, getting a bit sour late, but also a huge amount of juicy tart peach, drier finish with a mild flemmy acidity, loads of juicy like peachy puree

Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, juicy soft, med carb, fair acidity and tartness

Overall this brings back the old school incredible Bruery beers, this was really well done

Split with JLindros.

A - Poured into my Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear honey hue with a thin white head that fades to leave thin white halo and light wisps.

S - Aromas of bright, acidic peaches and stone fruit, very bright and acidic. Good juicy stone fruit along with a slight flash of sour blonde aroma as well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with enormous stone fruit flavour and taste. Big, bright acidic juicy peaches and nectarines. Incredibly bright and vibrant still considering this is a 2017 vintage. Very pleasant blonde notes to round things out withthe finish becoming brightly acidic.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, bright, crisp, slightly flemmy.

O - OVerall this was a damn good Bruery sour. This right here makes me miss the Hoarders Society; such lovely use of peaches and nectarines to result in a straight forward stone fruit intensive beer. Even still, the base beer shines throughout. Expertly crafted.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/18/2016. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy of white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy peaches, nectarines, apricot, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, plum, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and white bread; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of peaches, nectarines, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge sour/tart/tangy peaches, nectarines, apricot, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, plum, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and white bread; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour peaches, nectarines, apricot, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, plum, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, nectarines, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a solid malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance. Moderate lingering pucker, but not too overwhelming. Moderately crisp finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly smooth/grainy mouthfeel that is good. Minimal warming alcohol as expected of 5.7%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited sour/wild ale. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, nectarines, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrels, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; smooth slow sipping from the very acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Super juicy/jammy stone fruits and Brett/bacteria complexity; great oak presence, and solid pale/wheat malts vs acidity. Zero residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. Just wish it wasn't so puckering on acidity.
