Had on tap. Like many of the bruery stouts, this one has a large presence, but unlike many of the bruery stouts, it is not unnecessarily boozy, instead full of chocolate, wood and some smoke. Not a lot of nuance, but good flavoring and full richness. Taste and smell are clones. Full bodied porter with nice viscous tendencies without becoming too weighty.

Not bad, not bad at all. This beer leans heavy on barrel richness and sweet, roasted, chocolatey overtones. I found it to be less boozy than I imagined despite being 12.2% but there is a very subtle warmth to it. If anything, Id say this beer may be too rich to have more than half the bottle in one sitting. In other words, great for sharing.

Simply put, oaky chocolate.
Pours deep brown with low to moderate mocha head.
Aroma is entirely oak and chocolate.
Taste is similar.
Medium to thick body.
I enjoyed the 6 month bottling, but this is probably the sweet spot.
