Our friends at The Full Pint have been leaders in craft beer news, reviews and advocacy in the digital space for a decade. As the mouthpiece for a generation of fans, we felt it was only appropriate to collaborate with The Full Pint Team and give everyone else something to talk about and sink their teeth into. This 10 year anniversary salute is like dipping a PB&J sandwich in caramel sauce and washing it down with a glass of bourbon. Taking some of our richest, most malt-forward bourbon barrel-aged beers, we wove in ribbons of peanut butter character and boysenberry jam to bring this limited edition beer full circle.

Bottle into snifter appears a muddy mahogany with thin tan head that holds around the edges with a thin line.

The aroma is somewhat fruity but thats it. Overall very muted and lackluster in its smell. My buddy I shared this with said it best when he commented: "ive never tried to smell a beer before that smelled like nothing."

Taste is boozy and medicinal with slight fruity aftertaste. This is muddled and not that good.

This is medium to full in body with light carbonation. Honestly, i dont get this one.

A: Poured into a snifter to a ruddy brown beer which is nearly black. The beer is topped by a dense and slightly rocky two finger head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of bourbon barrels and caramel up front with some definite peanut butter and jelly notes.
T: Taste is boysenberries up front with some caramel, vanilla, oak, and toasted malts. Peanut butter comes in through the middle along with more boysenberry jam. On the swallow there's more peanut butter, caramel, toasted malts, vanilla, and boysenberry
M: This beer has a body which is on the heavier side of medium with a slightly silky feel. Carbonation is slightly effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the ABV.
O: Overall this is a pretty interesting beer. It has some nice flavors and complexity while the PB&J flavors are an interesting twist. Fairly drinkable but definitely a big beer at 15.1%.

Another share bottle that was supposed to be shared with rudzud. A couple of rough nights and I needed to drink this and get it out of the fridge

Pours a tan frothy almost 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, a bit of lacing, hazy cloudy dark mahogany brown color

Nose starts a bit like Black Tuesday, thick syrupy heavy malt with lots of chocolate, cocoa, some roast, coffee, a bit of alcohol, then some mild nutty aromas, hint fruity, a little vanilla and touch of bourbon

Taste brings more of the base beer out front, again like Black Tuesday, heavy syrupy malt, a little roast and coffee with dark chocolate cocoa, caramel, toffee, etc, light jammy berry fruit notes, and a little nutty but not a ton, some vanilla again, fair amount of vanilla, with a little bourbon as well, perfumey alcohol that tingles a touch, rich, sticky sweet finish with hot alcohol almost fusel

Mouth is fuller bod, rich almost chewy thick, med to a bit lighter carb, warmign tingly alcohol

Overall OK, nice base stout with just hints of the PB&J, and that's not like Bruery which they usually go crazy with the flavors

2017 edition 750 ml,m bottle, poured into Bruery tulip.
Pours a muddled brown, red/purple highlights. Light khaki head, fizzy, poor retention. No lacing, thin ring around inside perimeter of glass.
Nose of toffee, raisin bread, fig, berries. No alcohol burn.
Taste is raisins, bright berries, crusty wheat bread. light bourbon, some burn. Some salinity reminds me of of salty peanut butter on a sweet jammy sandwich but no there is no recognizable peanut or nut taste. Lingering underripe berry.
Lighter mouthfeel, some slickness, bit of heat. Can you have a pb&j sandwich flavor without notable peanut or peanut butter character? In this case, I think you can.

750ml bottle poured into a snifter

Pours a ruby brown color with a foamy white head that has good retention. Lots of berried on the nose, jammy boysenberry, with undertones of oaky bourbon and booze. Tastes of jammy berries up front, followed by bourbon barrel notes that add some vanilla, malty and boozy finish. Medium body and carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and boozy finish

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a deep burgundy with quickly dissipating head. Nose is definitely dominated by berries. Really refreshing. There is a hint of medicine there as well. And bit of candy. The taste is a bit different. Getting the alcohol burn right away. Big notes of bourbon and boysenberry immediately. I totally get the salt as well. I can still tell that it's touched by the Bruery, but it's definitely dramatically different from most of their huge ales. Getting some caramel and vanilla on the taste as well, with a hint of lactose. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice sweet aftertaste. Overall, a really interesting beer with a unique spin on things. Definitely worth trying.

Muddy ox blood hue, literally looks like a pureed PB&J. The nose is just boysenberries, and then so is the flavor. Boozy, and a bit one dimensional. I don't get it

Appearance: Fairly cloudy medium-brown color with a hint of violet. The beer has a medium-sized beige head which subsides fairly quickly.

Smell: Upfront Bourbon aromas, fruity berry notes, brown sugar, and perhaps a hint of peanut butter, A nice nose on this one.

Taste: I pick up the Bourbon from the nose, modest berry notes, brown sugar, and mild peanut butter notes. The flavor profile and bal-aging play well with each other resulting in a tasty flavor profile.

Mouth-feel: On the lighter side of medium bodied. The carbonation is moderate and works well in this beer but the mouthfeel could be a bit thicker

Overall: A tasty, unique, bal-aged strong ale. Definitely worth a try.

Violet foil capped 750mL bottle acquired through The Bruery’s Society. Bottled 7/13/17. Served in a Bruery snifter. Enjoyed 1/10/18.

Pours a murky, deep orange violet with a finger and a half cap of loose beige foam. The head crackles away quickly, leaving a thin broken band but neither retention nor lace.

Smells of jam, peanut, bourbon, oak and caramel. There is a good bit of welcoming sweetness.

Big, rich, boozey flavors of bourbon, peanut butter, caramel, berry jam, wet wood, some mildly astringent grain and a hearty smack of alcohol.

Full, syrupy, sludgy body with dull carbonation. Elements of boozey jam and caramel coated peanut clusters play on the palate in the aftertaste.

An interesting brew from The Bruery. I’m not sure what the base beer is but it seems like an unobtrusive strong ale or barleywine. The strongest characters I think I get from that base are caramel and grain, both which serve to complement the peanut butter and jelly theme.

I was really excited to try this. I had the opportunity to buy a second bottle and was kicking myself. Upon drinking, I realized I made a good decision. This beer was a disaster. Medicinal flavor, especially on the back end. The peanut flour really didn't work and it seemed like this just a boozy mess. Yeah, I know what time it is...time to not drink this anymore
