A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer which is topped by a slightly dense and rocky light tan head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of coffee and cinnamon along with some maple. There's some bourbon barrel in here as well along with a touch of almonds and some chocolate
T: Taste is cinnamon and maple up front with some coffee and chocolate, touch of almonds before some oak, vanilla and caramel. On the swallow there's more almonds, coffee, cinnamon, maple sweetness, chocolate, oak, and vanilla.
M: The beer has a body which is slightly creamy and on the lower side of full. Carbonation is low and slightly effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the ABV.
O: Overall this beer still has a surprising amount of heat on the palate but the flavors are very good and well balanced. They probably could have cut out some of the adjuncts and the beer might have been better for it. Maple, Coffee, and Cinnamon would have been pretty bomb, but this beer is still great.

The beer was bottled on 01/12/2018. It has set in my cellar until now. Opening the beer it produced a nice hiss. The beer is a monster at 17 percent. The beer is 50 degrees and served in tulip glass. The pour of the beer produce a one finger medium tan head. The head came and went leaving nothing on the glass. The color of the beer is dark brown nearly black. The appearance of the beer is typical for this style with the heavy ABV.

The initial aromas in the beer are medium roasted coffee, dark chocolate, bourbon, nuttiness, and oranges. Next, I smell molasses, resin, anise, char, bread, wood, candied fruit, tobacco, earthiness, solvent, and leather.

The flavors in the beer are maple, coffee, milk chocolate, oranges, earthiness, anise, resin, molasses, oranges, cinnamon, candied fruit, toffee, caramel, bread, wood, leather, nuttiness, bourbon, hint of smoke, a hint of Maillard, roasted malts, and solvent.

The mouthfeel of the beer is warm, coating, and chewy.

The body of the beer is full, medium-low carbonation, and full finish.

The beer is good but the harmony is not what I am used too from this brewery. The flavors are full and in your face. The age on the beer did not do much to temper the heat and it comes across as solvent. The beer has excellent flavors and they come through. I think a bit more finesse and this beer would be amazing. Nonetheless a tasty offering.

Yellow wax capped 750mL bottle acquired through The Bruery’s Society. Bottled 1/12/18. Served in a Bruery teku. Enjoyed 8/31/18.

Pours black with a little shy of two fingers pale tan head. The bubbles fizzle away quickly, leaving a broken rail and little else to call retention.

Smells of coffee, pralines, cinnamon, bourbon, maple, wood and caramel.

Utterly delicious. Maple brown sugar coffee meets cinnamon bourbon pralines. Burnt fudge, dark fruit, wet oak, some charred malt character and a hearty pat of booze. Decadent, luxurious, and robustly flavorful.

Full body with light carbonation. The initial impression return in the finish.

Another outstanding variant from The Bruery. On Tuesdays We Brunch truly is a brunch-encapsulating iteration of Black Tuesday.

This beer smells like my Grandmother’s nut roll. Heavy on the almonds. The maple is also prevalent. At times it smells like a chocolate covered cherry because of the bourbon barrel-aging.

Taste wise this is one of the Bruery’s beers that is not over done with the barrel-aging. Maybe it is because of all the other flavors but the bourbon is sedate, in the background and complimentary to the remainder of the beer. This is NOT a shot in a glass of beer.

Overall, a pleasant barrel-aged stout for sipping as you sitt round the fire or to compliment a sweet desert.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours jet black with nice tan head. Nose is bourbon, almonds, cinnamon, maple, chocolate milk. Taste is really nice. The alcohol heat is definitely there and provides a slight burn on the way down. Huge notes of bourbon, nuts, maple, and cinnamon. Definitely picking up some lactose and a touch of licorice. Dark chocolate is threaded throughout. Mouthfeel is overly robust. Overall, a really nice BA stout from the Bruery.
