I wanted to try something from my extensive Bruery Collection tonight. After the holidays, I had a long workweek and wanted something to relax. I am using a Bruery tulip glass and serving the beer at 54 degrees. The pour created a frothy, foamy, two-fingered, light-tan head with excellent retention. The slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The dark brown beer has rich mahogany hues, an SRM of 36, and is opaque. The beer's appearance is above average, given its high ABV.
Smelling the glass, I detect notes of dark chocolate, raisins, figs, medium-roasted malts, floral, medium-roasted coffee, vanilla, anise, tobacco, earthy dirt, bourbon, char, dark toasted bread crust, malty sweetness, toffee, and a light cola note. Taking a moment to let the aromas sink in, I go back for another nosing, picking up yeast, oak, leather, and molasses. The sophistication of the aromas has me drooling.
The first sip: a heavy presence of dark chocolate, bourbon, and oak. The next sip reveals the complex nature of this massive imperial dessert stout, with notes of leather, dark chocolate, tobacco, coffee, vanilla, molasses, plums, raisins, earthy dirt, anise, dates, oak, bourbon, char, light oranges, and caramel.
The mouthfeel is chewy, finishing a bit warm. The body is heavy, with medium-low carbonation.
Final Impression: The beer is chock-full of chocolate and vanilla, with a nice bourbon finish. I enjoyed how much chocolate this beer has without being overbearing. Thoroughly enjoyed this beer from The Brurey.

Bottle. Straight chocolate nose. Very smooth with tons and tons of chocolate. Vanilla fills out the taste well. Very nice desert beer. Drinks lighter than the ABV as well.

Pours near black, 0.5" tan head with mild retention and spots of lace. Nose is fudgey off the bat, though not much aroma initially. As it warms, nose doesn't develop too much - some more fudge, a little leather or wood, but pretty unexpressive. Taste is milk chocolate, artificial sweetener; there's an acrid bitterness to this as well, like baker's chocolate or even aspirin. Very little vanilla, as I've found is typical with lots of these Bruery stouts. Finish is very tannic, as whatever lends that bitter flavor dominates for very long. Mouthfeel is medium and smooth with light carbonation. Overall, some odd elements in this make it feel like a miss for me.

From the 750 ml bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude and thanks for this one!
This 12.7 abv version of this brew pours a dark and murky blackish brown with a nice head of
light brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing
with some nice legs. Nose of bourbon, chocolate, and cream with some dark fruit notes.
Flavors surpass the nose with aplomb. Dark chocolate, cream, and dark berry hints
of blueberry and blackberry dance about layers of bourbon and light oak that has been
touched by moderate char and dark roast. Mouthfeel is full leaning towards medium full,
smooth, rich, coating, light carbonation, and a sweet without cloying finish that
oddly enough is well balanced.
Overall: The masters of balance and brewing. Even a malt bomb that isn't cloying.....
can they ever go wrong? Exceptional flavors and ingredients makes this a solid
stout even for those that don't like it on the sweet side.
Cheers

From a bottle. Pours an opaque deep brown with a thick brown head. Smells of sweet Bourbon, vanilla, and chocolate. The taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, and Bourbon. Almost like a cordial. Medium full bodied and mouth coating. Absolutely worth the effort of finding it.

2022 bottle pour- dark as used motor oil with thick khaki head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is sweet and taste follows with hints of vanilla and cocoa. Not detecting much chocolate as this one is fairly mellow despite the name. Finishes on the dry side.

750 ml bottle, 2022 vintage, 12.7% ABV, bottled on 04/13/22. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like chocolate fudge, vanilla, cream, bourbon and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some coffee, dark chocolate, oak and burnt/charred malt. Nice balance between all of the flavors, for some reason I was expecting this to be really sweet tasting but it's not. More roasty than I thought it would be, but that's a good thing in this case. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall imperial stout, worth picking up if you get the chance!

‘22 version. 12.7 abv.
Look: very dark, some ruby highlights when held directly to light. Big plush mocha head on the pour that almost completely dissipates.
Smell: roasty, vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar and cream, espresso.
Taste: flavors are melded well up front, choclatey, vanilla, hint of bourbon. Finish has a nice slightly bitter char/coffee thing.

I received a bottle from @2beerdogs. Poured into a stout glass. It pours a very dark walnut - nearly black - with two fingers of creamy, khaki-colored head and thick, long-lasting lacing. A very attractive pour. It smells of roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, nuts, and a strong dose of bourbon. It's mellow but roasty and flavorful. I'm tasting cocoa and vanilla, along with nutty char. There is also a touch of raisin or fig deep in the background. The bourbon notes nicely compliment the other flavors without overwhelming them. It's sweet but not overly so. There is very little bitterness. The flavors blend seamlessly. While not as viscous as I expected, this Stout has a pleasant, creamy mouth feel with lite carbonation, and the 11.5% ABV is warming but not distracting. Overall, the average rating is lower than I'd expect. Double Chocolate Sprinkles is very well executed and enjoyable.

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with a really nice one-inch layer of light brown head. Nose is vanilla, lactose, milk chocolate, and fudge. Not picking up much bourbon on the nose. The taste is a different story. Getting similar notes as from the nose (chocolate, lactose, and vanilla), but getting a good burst of bourbon and roasted malts. Some cherries and red grapes coming through as well. Mouthfeel is super thick and creamy. Alcohol not detectable. Overall an amazing pastry stout.

16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours a deep black color with a one-finger creamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- chocolate brownies with chocolate icing, creamy vanilla, oaky bourbon barrel, raisins & booze

M- medium-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a thick and chewy mouthfeel that continues into a silky, velvety finish
O- boozy and chocolaty, would have liked a bit more barrel character, otherwise solid
