I tried this beer at The Bruery's first tasting at Hollingshead in Orange. They did have trouble in pouring pitchers from the Keg, because they primed the kegs instead of dissolving Co2 in the beer. The appearance is a bit cloudy, and golden. The smell was a mild bread-like aroma that was indicative of a wit. The taste was great. The lavender used in the beer was light in taste but was too much in the mouth feel. It felt like I ate those little soaps your mother used to put next to the sink that looked like candy. It would be a great drinkable beer it it was not so expensive. I can get a sixer of Sierra Nevada Pale for the same price of a 750 ml of the Orchard White. I have since had it on bottles and a second time from the tap and it is consistent in taste and mouth feel. It was a good beer to try a couple of times but it would not be the regular go to beer when I get home from work and b=for me that is a distraction.

Golden pour, lots of haze, looks similar to Allagash white. Massive soft, pillowy white head over an inch. Aroma hit with spice rack, pepper, coriander, citrus rind and flower shop.
Taste popped with all the spice rack stuff, plenty of wheat grist. Sometimes a less fresh (now that it is retired especially) bottle seems to be the better play for me because the spice rack isn't so prominent, allows the soft wheat to netflix and chill in my mouth. Plenty bready that way, like a wheat and rye blend of bread.
A well made beer, but I can see why they discontinued it, its just not a sexy seller in the land of sours and -bals.
