Notes / Commercial Description:
Brewed with 17 lbs. of yams per barrel (in other words, a lot of yams!), this autumn seasonal is a different take on the "pumpkin" beer style. Brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, molasses, and maple syrup, and fermented with our traditional Belgian yeast strain, this bold and spicy beer is perfect on a cold autumn evening.

Clear and deeply reddish brown colored beer with a medium tan colored head.

Smells a bit dank. Yam and coffee with a faint sour scent. Big Cinnamon and ginger spice aromas. Brown sugar and syrup with some sugar-cone aromas. Smells a bit like a pancake.

Starts out sweet and spicy. Sugary with lots of ginger and Cinnamon. Mildly bitter as spiced beers go it is OK. Warms the chest fully.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Overall it is OK, but not something I would buy again.
