Growler picked up on October 3rd for twelve dollars, consumed that same day with my dad, also tasted from a growler provided by vacax the following night at the 1st LA BA Gathering, poured into an oversized wine glass
A-Medium to light yellow color, quite murky, big one inch foamy white head that stuck around a little bit, some retention, minimal lacing
S-Cloves, black pepper, coriander, lots of spices, exotic flowers, wheat, straw, light citrus, and a hint of booze
T-Lots of citrus up front, spice dominates the middle and finish, some flowery flavors in there too, also a warming aftertaste as the booze are not hidden in this one, you would not expect them to be in a double wit though, gets spicier as it warms, lots of fruit still around too, would have liked to see some dry accents to provide some balance, heaviness got the best of me with this one and my dad ended up drinking four or five glasses because I could not get any more down
M-Full body for a wit, not enough carbonation and verging on being syrupy, spicy, sweet, and chewy mouthfeel, taste lingers too long
D-Could not drink more than twelve ounces of this, flat out heavy on the stomach, some flavors are overpowering, too spicy for my palate, not smooth, alcohol is not hidden too well either
Was not too big on the standard White Orchard and this was no exception, the aftertaste just made it too hard to drink, and it tasted the same both times sampled so it was not just a problem with my glass or something, probably would not drink again, worth trying though because these guys do not make a bad beer, this is just my least favorite but still better than a lot beer out there

Weird hazy, clouded pour, mild earth tones. Jeez here comes the spice rack. Too much for my tastes and/or olfactory senses.
Dropped more and more spice rack in the taste and mouthfeel throughout. Just not my cup of tea, this or the original. Bottleworks XII more my style of witbier from these guys, no wonder they stopped making this.
