Bottle pour at the bottle share held at Chloe's inside Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky brown with a foamy khaki head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, and lots of bourbon aromas. Taste is much the same with vanilla and bourbon flavors on the finish. There is an alcohol kick after each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with some great aromas and flavors but it's still quite boozy.

The Bruery just celebrated their 10th anniversary so I figured it was time to bust these old gems out. Drank along side the other 2 100% BA Papier versions.
Bottle into a snifter appears dark brown with a light brown head formed by some large bubbles that quickly fade.
Aroma has a pleasant bourbon tang to it with the typical oak, vanilla, caramel and molasses-like sweetness. There is also a solvent booziness to this.
Taste is bourbon forward with oak, caramel and vanilla sweetness sharply contrasted by booze and earthen roastiness like tobacco and leather.
Medium to fuller in body with light carbonation. This is a bold sipper that is boozy as all hell still after 10 years. I like it a lot yet the nuance between this and the brandy iteration are quite mild.

Bottle received in trade from TexIndy, thanks for the opportunity!
Shared with a few folks sitting around a campfire at Rob's
Huge oak and brown sugar with lots of fruit and a touch of warming alcohol. Not much of the spirit left, but a great beer to sip with friends.
