Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

A bit overkill on the head creation, with much staying power. Fistfull light tan and creamed tall billowing head. Initial glancing appearances are a murky brackish red muddy rust colored body. Some light provides a deep orange and some faint rising carbonation.

Lots of nice thick caramel and a hint of woody oak just barely. Some small floral and deep vanilla like tones match out nicely as well. Pretty solid.

Palate comes with a classic thick mouthfeel of oak aging. Lots of vanilla rich and thick cream like consistency and flavors. Matching caramel sweetness in the mid palate, and a sharp but also mellow hop finish on the end. Hop angle gravitates to a bit of fruit and peach and citrus character nicely, with the matching malt thickness and vanilla.

Overall quite a nice red amber ale, and uniquely made and tasting.

Pours a dark red color, with a huge tan 3 finger of head. Plenty spongy lace due to the huge head. Aroma is resinous, sticky, caramel and nutty maltiness. Taste is sweet up front, moderate bitterness, pecan, mild oak and wood, piny and floral hops. Body is medium. Carbonation isn't that bad considering the head.

Overall, its a good red, not fantastic but super solid good.

750mL bottle poured into a snifter. Thanks again for sharing Matt!

(A)- Pours a cloudy mahogany reddish brown color. Produced some good white froth and lacing.

(S)- A sweet yet malty profile. Subtle fig and apricot fruits meets a hoppy bitterness.

(T)- Nice amber malt meets an almost candied fig-like sweetness. Plenty of bitter pine on the finish.

(M)- A good carbonation level. Very malty and sweet with that candied-like citrus with a hefty hoppiness to it. Its almost like its an american red ale only dessert.

(O)- This strongly reminds me of Bells' This goes to 11 Ale, but this one might have a better balance and a touch less of a massive hop profile.
